Who thought we'd be back here again, 17 years later?

Re: XFL Thread
This is one of the worst ideas in the history of bad ideas. I love football and pro wrestling and even I have zero interest in watching an XFL game again (I stopped watching the 2001 season by week 3 or 4.) So I really don't know who they're targeting as viewers here.
I know Vince McMahon being a long time friend of Trump is convinced NFL ratings are down because of the national anthem protests, so believes he's got a chance as long as they make it clear players can't be political. But the truth is ratings are really down because there's way too many games on and most of the Thursday games are always mediocre and Monday games had bad luck with the match ups this season. Then add in Saturday NCAA games and most people have started skipping games, like I rarely watched Thursday games this season. So his idea for over saturation of football is to add two more days of football? And football that even if it's better than 2001 is going to be inferior to the NFL no matter what. Plus they can't use their gimmick from 2001 of promising it will be more violent than the NFL because nobody wants to see helmet to helmet crashes anymore. This will be a disaster.
But I hope he brings Jesse Ventura back for commentary and he keeps talking about 9/11 conspiracy theories to make things incredibly awkward for the play by play announcer.

I hope they use the NXT backstage interviewers as on field interviewers.

Re: XFL Thread
Vince always picks the wrong time to try to shit on the NFL. The last time he tried to call them boring during The Greatest Show On Turf era. Now they just played probably the greatest Super Bowl ever, a game that went by very fast because it was so action packed, and he's acting like replays ruined it. He is an idiot. What could they do to try to make a better game than last night? Let guys break out into MMA fights instead of call penalties?

Re: XFL Thread
Vince just got fucked over by the son of his former XFL partner, as he got a CBS deal for a new football league.
I guess it's karma because he used to do this same kind of thing to rival wrestling promoters like Stu Hart and Verne Gagne to put them out of business.

Vince might as well call it off since it's original got a network deal with CBS. Plus actual backers. Had he spent that 100 mil yet? If not he should quit while he's ahead as no way with NFL ratings down another network will step up. Unless it's like PBS or something. Probably air games on the WWE network

But now anytime people make fun of Vince for doing this he's going to post a picture of himself signing that first check from FOX.

Re: XFL Thread
True but still he needs scouts scouring college football, the free agency market (not the big names but lower on the totem pole), overseas football, CFL etc to recruit some half decent players. Probably some diamonds in the rough out there and some players went from the XFL to NFL like they did with the USFL to NFL.
