It's a great day for the conservatives, they just lost one of their safe seats to a lesbian.

The tragedy of the 2019 election
For the second time this decade, Australians are poised to remove a federal government without enthusiasm for the alternative. The incumbent, exhausted by years of infighting, faces an opposition united by the promise of an early return to office, but mindful that it has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory before.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten finds himself in the equivalent position to Tony Abbott six years ago: unloved by the public but on the cusp of power on his own, uncompromising terms.

I have little interest in politics, and have mostly been an informal voter for any state or federal election of the past 10 years, but fuck the liberals.

I’ve seen their ads slinging shit at labour online, on tv, on billboards, in news papers, on tv AGAIN and heard them on radio.
I’ve seen one labour ad in the same amount of time with the same exposure.

Maybe if the liberals spent that much money on the internet that they fucked, their ad wouldn’t have taken so long to load.

I’m going to vote Labour simply out of spite, and untill about 3 weeks ago I couldn’t even tell you who was prime minister.

I wouldn’t vote at all but I don’t want to be fined.

Yeah the LNP ads are horrible and full of shit.

The possible reason you haven't seen as many Labor ads though might be because Labor are going to do well in Victoria, so they are probably showing more ads in NSW & Queensland.

People have been getting stupidly long Palmer ads on Youtube.

There are 25 minute and 2 hour ones as well.

Another 3 years of LNP.

At least Palmer didn't get in and Abbott was voted out.

Pretty much.

Fraser Anning also is out of the senate, which is good.
