 But he'd have a field day here as the country has basically ground to a halt. It is bad weather but if preventive measures were in place before they'd have it better under control. Stopped snowing here for now but it's quite windy so the wind chill is still making it freezing.

That's a joke. It is incredibly windy, but I've seen worse. It's March after all.

Got back from a nice night drive. There were large patches of this white stuff off the sides of the roads.

I got scared of that mysterious cold white stuff and turned around to come home.

The texture and taste was different to jizz. I don’t know what I was driving through!

Which is why I was scared.

At first I thought that maybe they complain about 34c weather because their winters are much colder. But then I looked at their lowest winter temperature ever and saw that it was -19c. Seriously, -19 is called January here. We may not have summer temps as crazy as Australia, but the UK has the mildest weather I’ve ever heard of.

HEY PAL! We got it 38C here in the Summer!. It's the humidity that makes it feel like a furnace. No aircon in homes here either. Plus it's not really the norm when usually it tops mid to high 20s at best so we ain't used to it.

Don't throw us under the bus too Mel!. You have less than -19c in Winter reguarly?. Lowest ever temp in England is minus 26 Celsius in 1982.

Put some respect on the OGs name!

-19 is -2 in farenheiht and yes we get that regularly overnight. At the end of January it can get to -7 (-21 for you) often. But that's on the east coast, in his area in Indiana (and especially in Minnesota where pixel lives) it gets worse.

Right now here it's 5c, which isn't bad.

That's interesting, thanks. Thing is here our infrastructure can't really deal with the snow and cold weather, if you look at the top post I'm talking about the country grinding to a halt because of the snow.

The US is much better prepared and has like snowplows etc. Here they just grit the roads and even then they only do the major roads usually. I'm sure it's like that in certain rural areas stateside too though. Same with the Summer, to my knowledge no home here has built in air conditioning/swamp cooler etc (unless they have it installed) and we get a weird sticky heat/humidity. Plus this year we had like grass, bushes, plants etc drying up because of no rain.

Currently it's 13c here but it's going down to 1c tomorrow night.

Where I’m at summers usually peak around 35c and winters usually bottom out around -20c. That’s the average hottest/coldest temps we typically see in a year. The worst is the spring where temperatures fluctuate radically. There will be mornings I will wake up and it’s 0c, then by 2pm it’ll hit 22c. It’s impossible to dress for weather in the spring.
