I'm not sure. Hasn't Oprah just agreed to do the interviews?, things could change and since we are getting it on a days delay (first part is on the 4th here) if there's any "controversy" then I'm assuming Channel 4 will put it on after the second part.

The interview was filmed last night and word was Oprah believed the accusers and tore into Jackson and anyone who worked for him that she felt enabled the alleged abuse. So she's definitely not going to be doing a tough counter-questioning of the accusers.

That's interesting, thanks. I think I've made my opinion clear that I don't believe the lies the pair are trying to push as facts. If they were really abused, why not tell their parents at the time and report MJ to the authorities. All the BS they're saying that they loved him and such. That rings alarm bells also as how could they love someone who "abused" them?, that part makes no sense.

I'm surprised Oprah believes them, since she was really abused herself sadly. There's no evidence whatsoever of MJ doing anything inappropriate with kids. If there was Sneddon would have had him bang to rights and he'd still be locked up now no doubt. There's nothing in his FBI files, they found nothing in Neverland when they searched the computers etc.

If he is guilty then why doesn't Sony destroy all his master tapes, take all the songs off streaming services, videos from YouTube etc. But they won't because he still generates millions for them. It's a shame no one has the same energy to take down Weinstein, Polanski et al. I don't see Oprah interviewing Rose McGowan or the ladies that HW raped. Or HBO airing a documentary about him. In fact his "people" sabotaged Rose book and no surprise her show on E! didn't get good ratings because that was no doubt sabotaged.

If Michael Jackson is an abuser/molester he would have been found guilty and convicted whilst alive. Tom Sneddon tried his hardest to get him but nope, because there was no evidence. No amount of money either would have silenced the alleged abused and their families. They would have wanted justice. This all stems back to that reporter guy who had a vendetta against Mike. Apparently the lies they have been telling are almost verbatim out of the book he wrote.

Until there's real evidence to prove otherwise Michael Jackson is innocent until proven guilty.

I don't think any of he allegations that I've heard of are credible. Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo were put up to it by very shady parents who had histories of being con artists, and these two would never get a civil or criminal judgment against Jackson because they said under oath twice he never did anything to them.

But Michael made some very stupid mistakes that have his legacy in this situation. He never should have settled out of court in 1994, he either should have stopped seeing children alone or put cameras in areas they were in after the Chandler case, and he should have known it was a PR disaster to say kids sleep in his room with him. In his mind everything was innocent, but he surely had someone tell him how that appears when you're a 40 year old man telling mothers to leave you alone with their child in your bedroom and to think about what people would think of him if he wasn't famous doing these things. He really should have stuck to only seeing children when he invited them over to his amusement park. That was perfectly fine, but "hey let's have a slumber party in my bedroom" was just asking for trouble. I know he wanted to relive his childhood and everything, but he should have had some self awareness that he's the only adult doing that who isn't luring children in to molest them, so things need to be transparent.

And as far as Oprah goes, this is within her character. She's always sided with people alleging child abuse, so this is how she was going to do things. It's fashionable to be a victim right now, as we saw with Jussie Smollett lying for sympathy. And going along with that means anybody who says they doubt an accuser gets bashed. Like the first people who cast doubt on Jussie Smollett and Nathan Phillips were called racists, and those who questioned the Brett Kavanaugh accusers were called rape apologist sexists. So you pretty much have free reign to claim whatever you want to be a victim and be believed right now. And Oprah isn't going to ruin her media empire saying these two guys are liars.

Very good points. Yea there was a lot of naivety on Mike's part, which was taken advantage of. Especially in the Jordy case. As soon as his father didn't get the 3 picture deal he wanted, then suddenly accusations appeared. Settling out of court was decided by his manager/management I believe. I think it's discussed in detail in the 1993/94 edition of J Randy Taraborelli's book.

Having Frank Dileo leak stories to the Enquirer to make MJ seem more "interesting" backfired. Especially here as he got labelled as "Wacko Jacko". If the press did the research they'd find out Frank planted the stories. But the truth doesn't make for good copy. The tabloid press latches onto every negative story.

That he had children from Make a Wish foundation etc at Neverland, and not just boys but girls too isn't ever reported. Because of his image they made it out to be something inappropriate when it wasn't. They went through Neverland with a fine tooth comb so to speak and found nothing. So until there's even a single shred of evidence, the media etc throwing accusations around are just defaming his character without any justification.

Also if he was such a "predator" why would grown adults send their children to Neverland to spend time with him?. They'd cut off any communication before it even began. I do believe after the Jordy accusations he should have definitely not socialised with kids unless it was in public.

As he was just setting himself up for people to take advantage of his kindness. I honestly think he just preferred the company of kids and animals to adults. I don't believe there was any inappropriateness going on. If so someone would have evidence of it. But none exists which tells the true story.

I think it's very much a witch hunt and to further drag his name through the mud. Yes he made mistakes getting too friendly with kids so they can turn around and say "well he did this...".

Again this all goes back to Victor Guiterrez who has a vendetta against MJ.

I believe the real truth behind this witch hunt targeting Michael is far more disturbing than any fake allegations. Hopefully his estate will put out a rebuttal doc telling the real truth and put all these fake accusations & lies to rest.

Yes, Jordan Chandler's father originally requested to be made a partner with Michael's film studio to get him $20 million from Sony. When Michael told him he wasn't interested then suddenly he says Jordan said MJ molested him and coincidentally $20 million was his asking price to not go to the police. They later uncovered the father plotted the whole thing with a lawyer and have it on tape. The police also said they had zero evidence beyond the kid claiming it once under sedation, but then he denied it every other time he was asked. So they had nothing. Michael should have taken it to court and hired the best lawyers in California to destroy the father. He definitely would have won and all of this would be squashed in 1994. The thing was, if Michael was accused of plagiarism he or his manager never would have settled out of court with another songwriter making the false claim, so it looked really bad that he or his manager settled for the worst thing you can be accused of. And that made him a target for the rest of his life and beyond.

Yea Jordy's "confession" was definitely constructed and any judge would have seen it as fabricated lies and an attempt to extort money from MJ. I think him going through that demoralising process of being photographed etc really was the beginning of the end sadly. He should have went all out to fight it but maybe the stress would have been too much for him so he paid them off to make it all disappear.

I know it was humiliating, and in the Taraborelli book he was quoted as saying he didn't want to put Jordan through it either. But he had such an easy case in his defense with the father wanting to be his business partner when real fathers of molestation victims would have murdered the molester if they were in a room alone together. If my son was molested and a private meeting with the culprit was scheduled, I'm bringing my 9mm with me and immediately shooting the son of a bitch in the head, not say "hey, let's make movies together!" And not fighting back and winning completely altered his life. So it's unfortunate.

Yea definitely. That's what is so messed up about the whole thing. Any father would have turned up to the meeting with a weapon/weapons or even just beat them to death with their fists. You certainly don't play nice and try to broker a deal with them. Which is why I don't buy any of these accusations either. Soon as they told their parents they should have went straight for him. But nope, they wanted the $. Also Jordys father participated with this Guitereez guy in a book called "Michael Jackson was my lover". Supposedly Jordy's diary/journal. So yea he definitely should have gone to trial really to crush all this BS before it gained traction.

About the forgotten Oasis album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. It had a few good songs on it, although Noel was trying too hard to be Beta Band. But at least it freshened up the sound from the 70s rock of Be Here Now.
