I remember when TNA had Eddie the first time under the Dixie era and they wouldn't let him talk. Even though, you know, his promos are the entire reason why people like him.

I love how this video was made to make WWE look good for Linda during her Senate campaign and they open with a video of Jimmy Snuka of all people.

I can't imagine that phone call Vince made.

"Stan, I know you're one of the ten best wrestlers in the world right now. But what I want from you is a scene where you take a nasty dump and then come out to look at penises at a urinal and then comment on them."

Starman is a young Joey Janela in his rookie year when this was his first gimmick.

I remember that show but I was too young at the time to appreciate Gordon Solie then. I hadn't seen his classic 80s Florida and Georgia stuff yet. To me as a kid announcing was Gorilla, Vince, JR, Joey Styles, Schiavone, and unfortunately Eric Bischoff. It was much different than now where everything filmed is online to stream somewhere. Back then you had to trade tapes or buy VHS from RF Video. People deep into wrestling today have no excuse not to educate themselves if they're serious about learning history.

People hate Tom Brandi, but using "America, Fuck Yeah" as entrance music for The Patriot is tremendous.

I love that there's a rat right by the dressing room door with no shame.

Dr Wagner Jr vs Blue Demon Jr in a match of Old Farts Phoning it in that manages to be entertaining as shit despite the fact that there is some serious sloppiness at times and you can tell Blue Demon is about 900 years past his prime here. They bleed all over Mexico and you should just turn your goddamn brain off and watch this shit right now.

Some matches a lot of people didn't know or remember happened

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Sonjay Dutt vs Xavier Woods & Jay Lethal

Kota Ibushi & Nakajima vs Bryan Danielson & Davey Richards

Cactus Jack vs Kenta Kobashi

Dynamite Kid vs Owen Hart

That time Christopher Daniels was briefly in ECW before it closed vs Rhyno

Scott Hall vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

God, you watch Owen Hart even in his early days and he just exudes so much talent. I'm starting to think he might have even been more of the complete, perfect package than Bret Hart or Chris Benoit at their peak.

The problem was he was never as serious about it as Bret, Dynamite or Benoit. Those three were driven to be the best wrestler ever and be on top. To the point that it cost them their health and/or lives. To Owen it was just the family business he got into because it paid better than anything else he could do. If Stu had run a bakery he'd do that for a living. He was amazingly naturally talented but didn't care if he was in the opening match or main event as long as he got a paycheck and had a few laughs with his buddies.

Who here wants to listen to one of the biggest piles of shit in the wrestling business get skewered for two hours? This is fucking glorious. Ian Rotten may be the one person in wrestling I hate more than Vince Russo.
