Re: The Wrestling Podcast Thread
I thought that was an April Fools joke.
It isn't a bad show so I don't know where the humor from Tony talking over it would be. Is it just going to be 3 hours of bingo jokes?

Re: The Wrestling Podcast Thread
Is that the subscription video thing or just the free youtube clips they put up occasionally?
And for Art Bell I'm assuming the song was "Chase" by Giorgio Moroder, the Coast To Coast AM radio show theme music that also Midnight Express used for entrance music.

It's the video sub thing, the one that's $19.99 a month.
They have switched to Vimeo but the url doesn't seem to be working properly for some people.

Who wants to pay 20 bucks to look at ugly Vinny, stunted growth Bryan and 350 pound Craig? I like them, but they've got faces for radio.

With all the people that work or are connected with WWE, she was the most obvious choice to do a podcast. Not Arn. Not Pimp Suit Hayes. Not Vince. It could only be Dana Warrior. Tens & tens of people are super excited for it!

Re: The Wrestling Podcast Thread
It shows the power of Conrad since Eric had a podcast before this and nobody cared about it.

Nobody wanted to hear Eric talking about politics, beer or bikes. Conrad knows what the people want.

Re: The Wrestling Podcast Thread
I listened to some of it on my drive to work this morning.
Eric definitely isn't going to give him the comedy like Tony and Bruce because he's very serious. But he's always interesting on interviews, even though he's full of shit in some of it. Like saying UWFi didn't inspire the nWo. He was in Japan when that was one of the biggest angles they'd ever had, selling out the Tokyo Dome 3 times in one year because they had several dream matches with Takada in the Hollywood Hogan role. And remember before that all WWF portrayals were negative, with Luger and Mike Rotunda shitting on the WWF in their debut promos. And they did commercials showing guys who left like Vader, Foley and Austin doing jobs to WCW wrestlers and saying they sucked so they went to the easy promotion. Then suddenly you get two guys destroying the whole roster and suddenly the third guy stops pretending like he never worked for the WWF and acts like he's out to bring WCW down in their honor. Watch 1995 and then May-July 1996 and it's night and day.

The Dave vs Bruce feud is now the Jay-Z vs Nas of wrestling.
