Ex-WWE Star Sunny — Checks Into Retreat Center to ‘Get Healthy Again’

Former WWE star Sunny has checked into a retreat center … this according to her sister, who claims Tammy Sytch has done so in an effort to “get healthy again.”

Tammy’s sister tells Pro Wrestling Sheet … “her health has not been good lately and she is at a retreat to try and get healthy again.”

She adds, “It’s a retreat that focuses on the body and mind while using a holistic approach offering yoga, music therapy, art and holistic supplements to help the body heal. She is hoping to feel better soon and looks forward to a healthier future.”

In case you missed it, the ex-wrestling manager released a sex tape with Vivid this year and wore her WWE Hall of Fame ring in the video. The 43 year-old was hospitalized not long after, but remained active on Twitter until the end of last month when she suddenly went silent.

UPDATE: 10:30 AM PST – TMZ confirmed our report and in addition claim that sources tell them Sunny reached out to friends last month, informing them she was seeking treatment to get sober.

The site also says Tammy told friends she was hopeful her stint in rehab would “offset” possible jail time in her DUI cases.

‘Dedication and Downfall’ The CHRIS CANDIDO Story, Told Through His Brother Jonny [teaser]

Image

Last night, Pro Wrestling Stories had the privilege of catching up with Jonny Candido, brother of the late, great Chris Candido. We had an enjoyable conversation and talked a host of topics from stories on the road, his brother Chris, his time in the ring, being around many of the all-time greats from a young age and of course, Tammy Sytch, also known as Sunny, WWE’s first diva. Jonny was a pleasure to talk to and he held nothing back.

The Chris Candido story is a tale of heartfelt dedication and tragic downfall. You will find yourself moved by Chris’s kind nature but also find yourself asking, ‘Why?’ He was a rare breed in the cut-throat industry of professional wrestling.

Here is a preview to wet your appetite. This is just four minutes of our two-hour conversation. Believe us when we say it, it gets much better than this. Check back to our site again on Saturday to read the rest of our interview with Jonny Candido. This is a story not to be missed.

JONNY CANDIDO:

“You know what? The boys in the business know how fucking insane Tammy [Sytch] is and that she is just the worst. It’s hard to explain, my brother literally was an angel, the best person in the world. She is just a fucking psychopath. Like literally, my brother was so fucking awesome and she was so fucking bad. What happened was that she got washed up, but she had been the worst from day one.

My brother was ten years older than me, so when they were in Smoky Mountain, my brother was like seventeen or eighteen, not even out of high school. So, you know, I was seven or eight and my parents would take me out there [to see him].

Once they had gotten to WWE [as Sunny and Skip] and started getting fucked up, I was in eighth grade. I remember going over there and I would just [see] some fucked up shit.

With ECW, with the Blue World Order and I used to find weapons for New Jack. My brother always used to pick me up and take me to all the ECW shows. I would go to all of them. So they were in Florida and my brother Chris was like, ‘You have to come to Florida. It won’t be the same without you.’

So we went out to Florida and we were sitting at this big table. I’m sitting next to Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers on either side of me and they were talking to me and giving me shots of Jack Daniels. Across from me was my brother, Tammy, Chris Jericho, his girl, the Dudley’s, New Jack, Raven, it’s this huge table of all of us. And Tammy has her first little bit of food and kerplunk. Fucking passes out in her food. Right? And I’m like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’

My brother is going, ‘Alright!’ Everybody got up. It was like a drill. Everybody knew what to do.

“Everybody got up. It was like a drill. Everybody knew what to do.”

Fucking New Jack picked her up, Bubba picked her up behind the arms. New Jack is going, ‘Everybody get out of the way!’ We were not at this club, we were at this restaurant. So we cleared the room, they put her in the corner and they were trying to get her in the car. Tammy was staying with us, so I ended up staying with Tracy and Tommy Rich. My brother used to tell the story of how Tracy and Tommy Rich kidnapped me that night. [Tracy, Tommy and I] had gone out later that night and went to all the bars and shit.

So the next day, I went to Chris and was like, ‘What the fuck happened to Tammy last night?’

He was like, ‘Oh, it was that time of the month slash someone gave her something and it affected her wrong. Just kayfabe mom.’

I was like, ‘Okay…’

So then Chris had bought this like mega-mansion and I had gone there and they had gotten into a soma’d up, fucked up state and I was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’

I started staying there all the time. It was really close to our family house, so I would stay there at this huge mansion and they made me my own room there. So I was like, ‘Sweet, I’ll just crash at my fucking brother’s!’

So it started, and every single night would be like this, right? We would sit around and eat dinner, fucking Tammy would get all fucking soma’d up and wasted, we would go to sleep. Around 2 am, I would hear screaming, ‘AHH! JONNY!! JONNY!! YOUR BROTHER’S TRYING TO KILL HIMSELF!’

And I would go, ‘WHAT?’

I’d go downstairs and my brother would be laying on the couch and she would just be raining punches down on his face. This is when they were Skip and Sunny when they were twenty-three. Bam! Bam! hitting him. I would try to block them and cover him, she would be hitting both of us.

Then she’d run and she would grab a fucking butcher knife and fucking go right after him. I’d stand in front of him and then he’d fucking come to and he would go, ‘Bro, this happens every night. Don’t worry about it. No big deal.’

And she would fucking run, grab the fucking phone and go in the car and sit in the car being on the phone trying to call people. He’d break the fucking window. Dude, this happened every single night. You have no idea.”

-- There's finally some good news to report on WWE Hall of Famer Sunny. Sunny, real name Tammy Sytch, says she is 90 days clean and sober.

In an interview with TMZ, Sytch said she's enjoying her WWE-funded rehab center so much that she doesn't want to leave. According to Sytch, WWE has been shelling out $40,000 per month since March for her to be in rehab. She says she entered the program after she realized she was in a "bad place" mentally and physically.

"They've been awesome," Sytch said of WWE. "They just want to see me get better."

Sunny, who released an adult film in February, was arrested for DUI several times over the last year.

Kinda ironic WWE pay for Tammy's rehab when she made an adult movie and knocked them, yet they didn't help Joanie.

WWE offered to pay for Chyna's rehab but she knocked them back.

Notice how Tammy always goes on about the price of the rehab? She used to do it on her shoots and she mentioned it to TMZ as well. Like she's proud of the amount that's getting flushed down the crapper everytime she goes to rehab and then relapses almost as soon as she gets out.

Yea it's weird she does that. $40K a month is a big chunk of change for them to be forking out on rehab, especially as it seems she hasn't really got herself clean so it's a never ending cycle. I mean I thought she burnt all her bridges with WWE but maybe Vince and or whomever have a soft spot for Tammy. Sad about Joanie, I thought they weren't trying to help. Unless she gets herself together I think Tammy Sytch might follow down a similar path and we hear about her passing away. WWE must feel responsible for their former talent drug and alcohol problems, but there must be a limit where the liability on their part ends. I mean a guy like Jeff Hardy who broke his body down doing wacky stunts if he got hooked on pain pills that's understandable in a way but you also have to point the finger at the talent themselves too. It's sadly a circle which won't be broken and 10-20 years down the line some of today's talent will be in rehab because of the hectic lifestyle and having to perform whilst in pain.

In one of her last shoots (Breaking Kayfabe maybe?) she complained that WWE sent her to a $40k a month rehab instead of the $100k a month one that either they used to send her to or they were sending Scott Hall to.

Wow, that's just being ungrateful. In reality, they don't have to pay for her rehab as she's not under a WWE contract, unless she's signed to a legends deal. But even so, how many companies pick up the check for their former employees rehab. I'd assume the ratio is slim to none. So really if it was a bottom of the barrel rehab facility at least she's been paid for. Plus Razors buddies with Hunter who I assume made sure to take care of his friend.

-- WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch and former TNA Knockouts Champion Brooke Adams battled back and forth on social media today after Brooke Adams posted photos of her pregnancy on Instagram.

Adams posted the photos in response to Tammy Sytch voicing her opinion of women who post “disgusting” pregnancy pictures on social media. Below is the exchange had by the two on the internet:

Sytch responded by posting the following on Facebook:

I love when people get tough behind a computer… No guts to say anything to your face. When you have a WWE Hall of Fame ring, you’ll have room to talk. Until then, when you work for a second rate company that can’t even run house shows because they suck so bad and are on some obscure cable network, shut your mouth. It’s nothing for me to choke a horse-faced b—h out.

FOR THE RECORD: about a MONTH ago, I posted that I thought that pregnant women should keep their naked pregnancy pics private. I DID NOT name ANYONE or single anyone out. It was a generalized statement. Well, last night, a certain Former TNA girl took it upon herself to take offense to it and call me out in a very nasty rant. Ok, you have courage behind your keyboard. YOU are in the wrong here. I never even SAW your photos. Good for you. You’re pregnant. You’re proud of it. There must be SOME INSECURITY though if you took my generalized statement and made it directed at you. Grow the f–k up. You’re kid will need an adult to look up to. Not some horse-faced b—h that acts like a child. You may have just started a war that , believe me, you don’t want to battle..

Brooke Adams then posted the following, final response:

For my fans I apologize again you have to even see this side of me. And honestly it’s no way to talk or act. I am 100% not leading by example with any of this. It solves nothing. But sometimes you have to talk like trash to get through to the trash. She obviously has zero class so this is the best way to get my point through that ignorant head of hers. Sometimes standing up for yourself and a mass of people such as other mommies is more important than keeping your mouth shut to save face. Like I said in my last post its woman like yourself that cause other woman to hide from the real world during one of the most challenging and should be most rewarding time of their lives (pregnancy) and go into serious depression because they don’t feel beautiful or accepted anymore. You should be ashamed. You aren’t a mother so you’ll never understand. You’ll never be able to grasp what I am even saying.

Sunny if I ever saw you in person trust me Id be glad to say it all to your face. This has nothing to do with being “tough” through a computer. I have zero relationship with you and will never come in contact with you so this is how I will have my voice heard. You bash all new younger talent because you’re just an ate up jealous hag so why not a pregnant woman next right? And weren’t you the “tough” one first bashing me for being a proud soon to be mom without actually saying my name? At least I have the balls to state the direction of my message so I can be sure you know it’s for you sweet cheeks. I wouldn’t expect that from you tho..we all know how weak you are because most of your nights end looking down an empty pill bottle, a needle in your arm, or with some random dick in your ass for $5. And that Hall of Fame ring you have ….the one you want to try and throw in my face as if it’s some value to your worth …what happened to it?? oh yea you sold it . Something that you should have cherished and been proud to keep. The only real thing you ever accomplished you sold. Something that should have never had a price tag on it. That’s how pathetic you are. And for the record I don’t care who you are or if you actually had real accompaniments it doesn’t give you a free pass at being an asshole and disrespecting other woman. You can bash my wrestling career all you want. It legit has zero affect on me. My life has never revolved around it and it’s doesn’t pay my bills. My life is so much more than that. Wrestling and my wrestling career doesn’t define me. It’s simply a chapter in my life and something I enjoyed doing. Did you even wrestle?? I can’t seem to remember a single match. Interesting thought right? lol…But hey keep begging for money and selling your old v—-a for cheap porno flicks because the ONLY thing you have accomplished in this world is being in the Hall of Fame. So you’re worthless to society. Most people are clueless to who you even are especially from this generation. The only exception to those who remember are the few from 20 yrs ago who buy your Skype videos . I imagine they must be lining up for you. So yea keep holding on to the one tiny thing you have left with no ring to even show for it . You have zero relevance whatsoever. You should actually send me a thank you card for giving you this much attention lol lol. My biggest piece of advice is to just be happy. Lord wake up and care about getting your own life together. Stop worrying about what everyone else around you does. Stop always trying to knock someone else down for what they are proud of or for their accomplishments. Your life will never be fulfilled when it revolves around bashing other strong, confident, happy women who inspire so many others. Learn to love yourself. It’s obvious you don’t.

Feel free to bash back but this will be my last comment on the subject. Done rolling in the mud with pigs. I’ve got bigger things to worry about…like if my national geographic boobs will ever go back to normal and what level my pregnant gas will be at this afternoon.

-- According to PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch was hospitalized this past Monday after local police and an ambulance were called to her home.

On Sytch’s Facebook page, she referred to her medical issues as being related to her pancreas, and she noted in her autobiography that she dealt with pancreatitis brought on by years of alcohol abuse.

Sytch is currently on five years probation after pleading guilty to three DUI related arrests in 2015. Her time in rehab was counted towards a 95 day jail sentence, although when she was sentenced last month, the former Diva was told that if there were any issues with fulfilling her probation, the judge still reserved his right to revoke it and potentially send her to jail for the DUI charges.

Tammy Sytch — ARRESTED … WWE Hall of Fame Manager Violated Parole

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Tammy Sytch — aka WWE Hall of Famer Sunny — has been arrested in Pennsylvania … this according to police officials.

Sytch was taken into custody by Carbon County officers around 10:30 pm EST, and a sergeant on duty tells us it was due to a parole violation.

We exclusively reported back in April when Sunny checked into a rehab facility … and according to TMZ, she avoided 90 days in jail from her multiple DUI cases last month because she got clean.

In addition to being put on parole, Tammy agreed to undergo bi-weekly alcohol testing — and the judge said there would be a zero tolerance policy if she slipped up.

We’ll keep you updated once we get more information from police.
