NBA Legend Shaquille O'Neal appeared on Inside The NBA today and talked about entering the third annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32 to confront Big Show.

Shaq said it was a fun experience and called it amazing. He thanked the McMahon family and said when WWE called him, he had to accept the offer.

Shaq also said a match with Big Show "is going down" next year in Orlando for WrestleMania 33.
Take it with a grain of salt, because Shaq is an infamous bullshitter. He's like the Hogan of basketball.

Remember the Paula Abdul and Aaliyah incident?

Shaq's dick is probably bigger than Paula. He'd have impaled both of them.
- David Flair was backstage and was said to look very different. He's a lot bigger now and has a huge beard.

Dave is getting bashed for not giving Zayn/Nak 5 stars on Twitter. But I don't think it's an all time classic I'll want to watch once or twice a year in the future. But it was the best match of the weekend.

It was a very good match but not in the top tier of matches ever.

-- WWE Fastlane 2016 featuring a three-way with Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar for the title shot at HHH drew 18,000 buys in North America and 25,000 outside of North America for 43,000 total. The North American buys would be the second lowest behind the December TLC show that did 14,000 buys (Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE title in a TLC match and Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose in an IC title match). When late buys come in, it will probably end up beating Survivor Series, which did 19,000.

-- Canyon Ceman, Matt Bloom and William Regal attended an Evolve training seminar and tryout camp in Dallas and there were people from WWE that were there for both the Ricochet vs. Will Ospreay and Ospreay vs. Sabre matches. The things we've heard about the scouting is that one person felt Ospreay vs. Sabre was the best thing of the weekend and that a scout was at the Shimmer show and the person they were said to be most interested in was Nicole Savoy.

-- Bobby Roode was backstage at WrestleMania 32 this past Sunday and was introducing himself to a lot of people. He also rode with talent back to the hotel after the show.

-- The WWE signed a multi-year deal with Snapchat for a cross-promotional campaign.

-- Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows were flown into Dallas to work Raw, but ended up not being used.

-- According to The Hollywood Reporter, former WWE Tag Team Champion Rene “Dupree” Goguen has filed a lawsuit against WWE over royalties and how they should be paid when content airs on the WWE Network.

The lawsuit, aiming to represent those who signed booking contracts for the WWE and other professional wrestling outfits between 1980 to the present, asserts breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment and a violation of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act, with millions of dollars in alleged damages being sought. Clinton Krislov and Brenden Leydon are the attorneys representing the plaintiffs.

The lawsuit was filed in a Connecticut Federal court yesterday, and Goguen has requested that the “booking contract” he signed in 2003, which gave WWE ownership of using his likeness and made it their intellectual property, be interpreted to include payment for “technology not yet created.” This is similar to a claim Jesse Ventura made years ago when he sued WWE for using his likeness on products that had not been created at the time that the footage was recorded, such as videotapes. Ventura won that case.

While WWE did not comment on the case attorney Jerry McDevitt told the Hollywood Reporter that the problem with this lawsuit is that Goguen signed a contract in 2011 that destroys his ability to bring these types of claims.

Newer pic of Dave Flair with his sis and Naitch

Looks kinda Wyatt familyesque with the beard.
Pity Ricky & Karl weren't with him.
I think Ricky's a wrestling fan, he wrestles Karl in some of the scenes of the show "Derek" he wrote and stars in.

Shane sounds like he broke his ribs in that bump, he sounds like it's paining him to talk.

I don't have a single bad thing to say about Raw. Even the two Dr. Phil skits were entertaining, believe it or not.

I just thought: WWE right now is TNA in 2005. Mostly with guys with tons of in-ring talent, but a world champ (Reigns instead of Jarrett) who sucks dick (although Jarrett was world's better than Roman.) And AJ should be world champ. WWE should hire Scott D'Amore to write Raw. TNA would have been a contender if they kept him instead of bringing back Russo.

Yea that's a very apt analogy. I don't ever see them ditching their table full of Hollywood writers even after Vince calls it a day. Scott would be an interesting choice but I think the criticism of the time was that he was pushing himself and Team Canada on top. I think right now you have to think outside of the box for booker(s) because the business has moved on and there's so many other forms of entertainment to compete with, even things which back in the day where not even in the equation like video games which used to be niche and the internet. I wonder whether things which worked pre internet would even work now like Hogan tuning heel, the formation of the NWO etc.

Edited for auto correct errors!

Looks like they've found a new animator for WWE 2K17

Was watching an interview with Zack Ryder on WWE.com with Maggle, and he was talking about wanting to be WWE World Champion. Does anyone think there's a realistic chance of that ever happening?. I like Zack but don't know if right now he has enough momentum to win the belt considering there's guys like Styles, Owens et al who could be champ instead. I think Ryder's more suited as a good hand, mid-card type who will be in the hunt for the US/IC championship. If he was really over and arguably he was at Mania, you could put the belt on him if the fans accept him as champ and most important of all right now he puts on solid matches and whether he actually is a draw in terms of merch sales, fans tune in to see his matches/promos, has a universal appeal and sells tickets, get folks to subscribe to the network. PPV buys are kinda moot point now, so haven't included those in the equation.

Absolutely not. There's no precedent of somebody who did a pseudo-comedy act and did that many jobs that low on the card becoming world champion. It would be like Rad Radford winning the world title in 1998.

I think the lowest wrung guy to ever win the world title was JBL, but even he had a much better career than Ryder. (And yeah, Kane too, but under the mask not as many people knew he was Isaac Yankem and Fake Diesel.)

WWE must just be piss testing the Superstars crew like WCW just piss tested the Saturday Night crew. Although clearly Blitzkrieg was on the gas, so it was smart to keep trying to catch that cheater.

-- Going against the NBA playoffs and with a taped show, Raw last night broke a new record for the least watched episode on its regular night outside of football season with 3.32 million viewers.

The show fell victim to a big third hour drop which led to it falling below the previous low mark set on 2/1 at 3.37 million viewers.

Dancing with the Stars, featuring UFC's Paige VanZant, also had a big drop to 10.95 million viewers.

There were a number of shows during football season last year, as well as the 1/11 show against the college football championship game, that did lower numbers than Raw.

Raw was still the second highest rated show on cable, beating the NBA game on TBS that went head-to-head and did 3.21 million viewers, but falling behind the Warriors-Rockets late game that did 4.42 million viewers.

Keep in mind that the actual viewers of both games would be significantly higher if you included the local market broadcasts of each game.

The seasonal pattern of people tuning in late that comes after Daylight Savings time was in effect, but the pattern that the third hour doesn't drop as much during that season was not. The first two hours were in the same range as last week, so the record low was entirely due to the big third hour drop.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.49 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.54 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.98 million viewers
