They should get Abyss too. I think WWE would love that team. Steve was awful when he came to TNA, but he worked very hard to improve. But he's a tag wrestler who really needs Abyss, or maybe Cass if he turns heel.

Jinder/Orton was pretty shitty, New Day/Usos was good, the women's MITB was just an angle to bring Daniel Bryan back.

MITB was so-so, some terrible booking messed things up and turned it into a thumbs in the middle turning up to thumbs in the middle turning down. Things you'd expect to happen, didn't, like Orton going over, Nak winning MITB etc. The Lana/Naomi match was surprisingly good considering Lana's not had much training. Jinder actually got legit heel heat and thats a thing of the past so if thats one good thing about his reign is that he's generating heat the right way instead of the Xpac heat like Reigns is getting. Usos/New Day was the best match outside of the men's MITB. But again let down by the winner. Baron Corbin is like a Roman Reigns carbon copy so that makes no sense either. I'm thinking Jinder to Corbin to Cena when he's back. Woman's MITB wasn't bad per se but Carmella winning made no real sense. I guess it'll be title switch from Naomi to Carmella to Nikki when she comes back.

-- WWE mentioning Conor McGregor multiple times on Raw this past week was not a coincidence. According to reports, the company would love to get McGregor and Floyd Mayweather on Raw to help them promote their fight.

WWE hopes that McGregor and Mayweather consider it as having a platform of millions of worldwide fans to sell their fight while WWE would benefit from the added free publicity and ratings boost on Raw.

Triple H was recently on Sky Sports News HQ in the UK and flat out invited both men to Raw to "tell the world who they are and why they're the man."

For those wondering exactly what Triple H had to say, here's a brief transcript:

“I think that is the – look I’ll go a step further and say all sports is entertainment, the news is entertainment today, it’s just the way of the world. This is what people do with their time. It’s no different. I think there is an interest level there. Can a world class boxer, probably the best ever, can he stand in the ring with an MMA guy and can that MMA guy bring his striking skills up to the level of someone, like say, a Floyd Mayweather? The one thing it will be, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is entertaining. One thing Floyd Mayweather is, is entertaining. One thing Conor McGregor is, is entertaining, and it’s funny that you say it’s sports entertainment. I’d invite both guys, that really want to showcase what they do, I invite both guys to come to Monday Night RAW because there is no bigger platform that they can have to show the world, and tell the world, who they are and why they’re the man.”

Tell the world who they are? Does he think Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather (aka the highest paid athlete in all of sports) are less famous than Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns? Has he seen their buyrates?

Meltzer said last night Lavar Ball is probably going to do an angle on Raw. They need to hire him as a heel manager and he could be the new Bobby Heenan.

So apparently WWE is enraged with the Ball family. Lavar apparently only said one scripted line and improv'ed the rest, they were mad at the sons for laughing the whole time and the youngest son said "Beat that nigga's ass" when Lavar started doing karate poses. Then after they went to commercial Lavar kept cutting a promo on Miz being a loser so they had to cut his mic and have Ambrose improv to try to get heat for the wrestlers back. Ambrose sarcastically praised the t-shirt and hyped the tag matchand said Lavar didn't make any sense the whole segment.

But they'll be happy when they're on ESPN and FOX Sports all day.

That segment was bad but good at the same time. It was something different and unpredictable, which is rare for WWE TV.
