The Trump Administration vetting records on cabinet members has been released, including Linda's. Here's the things considered barriers against her being nominated.

-Paid 2013 taxes late.

-Filed for bankruptcy in 1976.

-Was tipped off George Zahorian was under federal investigation and passed the information along to the WWF.

-WWE takes millions in tax payer subsidies.

-WWE has been sued several times for sexual harassment.

-WWE has had several wrestlers beaten up for homophobic storylines, highlighted the Piper vs Goldust lingerie spot.

-Chris Benoit murder/suicide.

-Owen Hart's death.

-Husband was charged with drug distribution in 1993.

-Dozens of former employees died before turning 50.

-Did an angle making light of terrorism.

-Steve Austin cut a promo calling Hassan and Davari "Sand People."

-WWE classifies wrestlers who work for them full-time as independent contractors.

-Called Trump's comments on women "deplorable" in interview before 2016 election.

-Used Cryme Tyme to play on racial stereotypes.

-Fired Jesse Ventura for trying to start a WWF Union.

-WWE rejected being given the study results of brain studies on Chris Benoit and Test showing they had CTE being offered to them by Dr. Bennet Omalu. Linda said in a 2010 interview she doesn't believe wrestling causes CTE.

Is this something they could make a big deal of?. I'm assuming the statute of limitations has expired but surely being informed of a federal investigation and then telling that information to Vince (& WWF management of the time) has questionable legalities attached. As aren't federal investigations secretive and usually conducted under surveillance?

No. What happened was she was at some kind of charity dinner and a District Attorney happened to be there and happened to say "We are about to charge this doctor named George Zahorian with selling steroids illegally" without knowing who she was. She left the dinner and called Pat Patterson to tell him to cut all ties with Zahorian. Patterson called Zahorian to tip him off and to ask he destroy all documents regarding WWF drug sales. But I think they raided his office when he was still in the middle of shredding WWF documents so had enough to charge him and implicate WWF.

So she did not do anything illegal. It was the DA's fault for blabbing about it and bad luck on his part that he didn't know Linda was in the room when he said it. He knew who Vince was but didn't know about his wife.

He's so insecure because he's probably worried he's going to be remembered as the WWE world champion at the time the competition grew. And nobody wants to be Diesel.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to like it that people are saying WWE is shit when he's the number 1 guy. Tough titties, Seth! WWE is shit.

A 3 hour Raw is bad enough. Now the people who go to shows have to see a half hour of marks being interviewed. All because Vince just realized football stops during commercials so wrestling should too. At least WCW had the Nitro Girls for commercial time.

They're going to have Undertaker do spots with Shane McMahon. One guy nearly broke Goldberg's neck and the other gets blown up simply cutting a promo now.

He’s actually taller and bigger than you.
and better
WWE is shit
In fairness to Seth, it has been for a long time. Who cares about how much money he's got either that was a cruddy retort.

In New Japan, winning championships and tournaments actually matter, because they are prestigious. The WWE belts have been glorified paperweights for a long time.

Will should have said I get to wrestle Ibushi, Tana, Naito etc

You get to wrestle...Baron "Trigger" Corbin :rofl2:

McDonald's makes the greatest food in the world by Seth's logic. But yet he probably does eat there because he knows it's not good for you. Just like watching 2019 WWE isn't good for your brain.

Ok thanks. That's a very weird thing to say in that context. It isn't something you'd randomly bring up in conversation

"Oh by the way...we're investigating this doctor, who...get this... is selling steroids to pro-wrestlers!... "

Linda randomly disappears and they catch Dr Zahorian destroying documents, no wonder Vince and the WWF was implicated. Can't remember who told the story, but I heard allegedly they paid for a new hip for Superstar so he testified in Vince's favour. Where he'd been bashing Vince and the WWF for pushing him into using steroids which basically destroyed his body.

I don't think the DA specified wrestlers because he was selling to others as well. What brought him down was he was set up by a body builder patient who was arrested for something and became a snitch on Zahorian to avoid jail time. They actually didn't know Zahorian was selling to wrestlers until they looked at his FedEx mailing account and saw Terry Bollea, Roderick Toombs, and Vince McMahon as frequent recipients of packages. I think they knew by the time the D.A. tipped off Linda. But they originally just went in on the case because he was over-prescribing Pennsylvania body builders. And it was probably weird a Urologist was prescribing so many steroids when anabolic steroids are bad for your kidneys.

Ok thanks, that makes more sense.

Looks like Chris has a seizure outside the ring after being hit by the clothesline.

I don't ever remember him selling with his eyes bulged out like that, he was a grimace seller. So something happened there. With so many concussions, getting smacked on the back of the head by a 260 pound man would surely mess him up. I mean, HHH didn't kill him with a clothesline like JBL or Hansen, but he connected stiff.

Plus it wasn't a huge move you'd go out of your way to sell, it was just a clothesline and that's not one of HHH's signature moves like his knees are supposed to be.
