I am not convinced he could beat that kid Bisping brought as a guest to the press conference last night.
Punk wouldn't have an answer for that punch.

Instead of Michael Jackson as his next opponent Poppa Joe Jackson has said he will step in and fight Punk to defend the Jackson family name. Tito going to Bellator to fight Chael Sonnen.Dr. Zoidberg wrote:

Meltzer said Time Warner is one of the most serious bidders for UFC's TV rights right now, meaning they'd be on TBS and TNT. That would be weird.

That would be weird. Luckily for the UFC Jamie Kellner left Turner Broadcasting in 2016. Maybe Shaq and Chuck can do guest commentating on the UFC.

It's too bad with weight restrictions he couldn't fight CM Punk since Floyd couldn't make 170. They could fight at welterweight since 156 pounds is the starting point and Floyd could hit that. But Punk would probably come in at least at 185 whereas Floyd would really be 156 pounds. But it would be perfect since they're both guys with big outside fanbase who'd buy the show, and it would probably be the most fair fight either could get.

You can see more of that fight here
https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/3/24/1 ... icta-fc-28
It's the bloodiest fight I've seen in a while. An ECW chant wouldn't have been out of place. Schwartz is a beast. She's a former marine who will do some damage when she gets called up to UFC. She has a lot of personality too, so I think she's going to be a star. Dana will want to see a few more fights, though since she's fairly new (she couldn't turn pro until she left the marines 2 years ago.)

Re: MMA Thread (UFC/Bellator et al)
Guess who's back?
He'll probably get suspended like he did at the Bellator show.
Apparently the NYPD is looking for him.The Conor McGregor crazy train made a stop in Brooklyn, NY, Thursday at UFC 223 media day and the ramifications for that visit might be more significant than he planned.
According to reports that Ariel Helwani received, McGregor and his entourage arrived at the Barclays Arena shortly after media day had wrapped up. As the fighters were leaving the arena and getting into a van, McGregor and team had some words with several of the fighters that resulted in McGregor or part of his entourage throwing a chair through one of the van's windows.
According to Helwani's sources, Michael Chiesa, who is scheduled to face Anthony Pettis on Saturday night, suffered a laceration -- but it's unclear if that changes his status for Saturday.
Helwani said he was told the van also had Khabib Nurmagomedov in it, someone that has positioned himself for a McGregor fight if he can win this Saturday night.
Footage has surfaced showing McGregor throw a bike rack backstage, but it's unclear if this was before or after the van incident. Dana White and authorities are on the scene assessing the situation.
He'll probably get suspended like he did at the Bellator show.

Conor's now been charged on 3 counts. Such a idiotic move on his part. He's gonna get sued, has destroyed his rep with sponsors, UFC and lost a lot of fans myself included over this. He should handle himself with class, but he's acting like he's cod playing a gangster. Maybe he's watched too much Peaky Blinders. Highly likely he's coked out of his gord and his boy Artem should fight his own battles. He is of the card and Dana will no doubt drop Lobev now. As for McGregor, he'd be throwing millions to the wind but you can't associate yourself with thuggish behaviour when you get high profile sponsors etc. He could cost them big time over this, he's cut up Michael Chiesa bad, shook up Thug Rose who's a bad ass so it must have been a scary incident for those on the bus. It was like a bad Russo WCW segment except it was real and McGregor and his crew were intent on hurting people. I did like Conor but now nah, you can't defend that imbecilic thug behaviour. McGregor is no better than a soccer hooligan and is a complete embarassment to MMA. He acted up at Bellator but this is much, much worse. The thing is though I wouldn't be surprised if he turns up at WrestleMania on Sunday and tries to shoot on the wrestlers. Hopefully during Brocks match so Lesnar can knock some sense into him.

Max Holloway is medically unfit to fight, so another fight cancelled
https://www.si.com/mma/2018/04/06/ufc-2 ... t-canceled
Won't be surprised if Dana cancels the entire PPV now. If he does then surely the UFC sues Conor too for messing up their event?.

Re: MMA Thread (UFC/Bellator et al)
Two words: Mike Tyson.
He'll be back and sell millions. He's too big of a star to ban. He makes Athletic Commissions millions like Tyson did. They aren't turning it down because he broke a window.
He'll settle for probation and anger management plus fines, have to pay the fighters who were cut, etc. But you're crazy if you think this is the end of his career. Tyson was convicted of rape and ripped a quarter of a man's ear off, Mayweather was convicted of domestic violence, and all Conor did was break a window.

Re: MMA Thread (UFC/Bellator et al)
I wrote a super long post but it didn't show up. Anyway I'll just briefly share my thoughts. Iron Mike was around in an era where he was a legit worldwide megastar. PPV companies had to do business with him as otherwise Don't King would have played hardball and said you can't have any if His fighters on PPV. Remember Mike did lose his sponsorships, Nintendo kicked him out of Punch Out etc.
Conor smashed a window, but you have to factor in the real story. It was a bus of UFC fighters and crew. Mike Chiesa was cut up pretty bad and is out of his fight. His intent was to cause mischief and harm. He could have seriously hurt someone that's not forget that aspect.
He behaved like a hooligan, nothing funny or entertaining about it. An empty bus, just vandalism and falls into the LOLZ category. People inside scared and hurt, nah not funny. Running with like 20+ crew doing this too, not just himself to me that's not the hallmark of a tough guy. He should have stepped to Khabib man to man if he wanted to stick up for Artem. Or better yet Artem handled his own business. Running around like extras from.a mob movie is just laughably pathetic.
I think Dana should step up and not let Mc just have a free pass over this. He could have seriously hurt a ton of people on that bus and that would have been really bad. He could have blinded Chiesa and ended his MMA career. Could give folks on that bus PTSD, no laughing matter in my opinion.
Conor McGregor is a grownass acting up like a teenager running with a gang. He's a father and setting a terrible example to his son. I've lost a lot of respect for Mc, not just this but his behavior has been wankerish for a long time now his ego is out of control. I think a more apt comparison is Jon Jones who has let his cocaine habit derail a HOF level career. If Conor got clean cause he must be coked up to keep acting up, apologized, accepted his punishment(s) I might give him a second chance. But now if he does fight Khabib, Nate or whomever I'm rooting against him to have his ass kicked so he can gain some humility and put him back in check. Because he's gone beyond being a anti hero Heel he's just acting like he's a unpredictable nut job. What if he and his crew shot up the bus because he's so unstable that could have been the case then that wouldn't be a laughing matter.
