Re: Random Wrestling News
Wally Yamaguchi, a very important figure in the Japanese wrestling business in the 80s and 90s, had a major stroke and as of earlier today was in a coma and his condition is not good. He was a key figure in both the magazine business, as well as the independent wrestling business having helped start FMW which was the first really strong Japanese indie group. He was a major figure helping Giant Baba with All Japan, and a major editor of Gong Magazine in that magazine's heyday. He was also Yamaguchi-san in WWE as the manager of Kaientai, and also worked for WWF for years as its Japanese industry liaison. His brother, Shun Yamaguchi, works for WWE today as a Japanese language television announcer live at the PPV shows.

Re: Random Wrestling News
Sean Mooney said Scott Hall is drinking pretty bad again.
He showed up to a convention in NYC drunk and belligerent and King Kong Bundy got pissed off at him and roughed him up. Brutus Beefcake broke it up and escorted Scott out of the building. Brutus said he smelled like he had been drinking vodka all day. That's too bad.

Sad to hear about Yamaguchi-San and Razor. Thought he had his demons in check but alcoholism is a disease and instead of Bundy fighting with him he should have got him some help. At least Bruti who has his own battles with alcohol helped Scott out by breaking the fight up.

Re: Random Wrestling News
It didn't sound like he beat him up or anything. Scott came in looking to start shit, said something personal to him after trying to get him riled up and Bundy grabbed him by the neck and shoved him up against a wall hard and told him to stop trying to instigate with the wrestlers there because they were having fun until he showed up. Then Brutus got between them, calmed Bundy down and took Scott out. But yeah, they said Booker did the right thing and just walked out of the room when Scott was trying to start a situation with him. Haku was also there but Scott still knew better to leave him alone.

Re: Random Wrestling News
They handled that terribly. And they said on twitter they didn't even pay for him, he was brought to the venue to sign autographs by someone else and they just asked to use the venue before the show since wrestling fans were going to be there anyway. So it's not like that promoter paid a lot of money for him to wrestle the main event and he showed up like that so he lost his temper because his show was ruined. They let him wander out there when people backstage should have stopped him. So this was worse than the Scott Hall incident a few years ago when he was supposed to be managing Cody Hall and he came out unable to walk as far as the promoter's actions go. Control your backstage and this wouldn't happen.
And this is also the promotion Cody Rhodes talked about sneaking off the set of Arrow to do something for and the promoter didn't even pay him after he went out of his way to fly from Toronto to Connecticut because he called him up all upset his business was shit and he needed him. So fuck this scumbag. Not defending Justin, but this was easily preventable and he's clearly trying to get publicity for it on social media.

Seemed Brutus did the right thing in this situation and Booker too. Had things kicked off Im sure Haku would have got involved. Was Big Kev at the event? He usually tries to keep Razir in check and look out for his buddy.Bandit wrote:It didn't sound like he beat him up or anything. Re: Random Wrestling News
Really. I thought Russo always said wrestling should be over the top because people who want to see real fights have MMA to watch.
The Young Bucks do stuff I don't like like that dropkickmania spot that went viral last week. But they are more entertaining than not, and most of the time I see them is in New Japan where the goofiness of the Bullet Club is more toned down than when they work in the US anyway. In New Japan they're more like early 90s Shawn Michaels small chickenshit heel spots than in the US where they get goofy to try to get another viral clip.

Yeah, they should leave PWG shit in PWG. If Cornette was still in ROH when they did that he'd have gotten his gun from his car and killed them all.

Re: Random Wrestling News
Sid is back on weed.Sid Vicious was scheduled for a rare match for AIW in Cleveland but he didn't board his flight.
After several phone calls went unanswered, the promotion used Swoggle's phone to call him and he did answer.
He claimed Donald Trump's travel ban prevented him from flying to Cleveland due to an unpaid speeding ticket and he didn't have his passport with him.
I don't know about you, but traveling within the U.S., I've never brought a passport or needed one. The promotion recorded the call and will be playing it either on a podcast or at the show tonight. But they wanted everyone to know ahead of time that Vicious won't be appearing as advertised.

Couldn't he just lie and say he got hurt training? I made it about a minute of that rambling before I started getting a headache.
I think EC3 had better watch out for squeegees

"Hide your cats, its ALF!!!"
"He's not a Martian is he Corey"
"Insert Patera reference here"
"Here's that little green guy from the Flintstone's"
"Why was a green Martian in the Queens of the Stone Age times, did he have a Time machine too, was Morris Day in The Time machine with Jerome?"
"Will you stop with the music references Graves?"
"Wait here's Matt Damon he's in with The Martians?"
Vince shouts in Corey's ear
"No I can't do AC/DC references... Wait here's Kane he's on a "Highway to Hell"
