In wrestling it's harder to separate the art from the artist since the lines are blurred when they're known as their gimmick name and kind of live the character in a lot of cases. Like who knows Richard Fliehr from Ric Flair or Jim Hellwig from Ultimate Warrior.

That's not a surprise unfortunately. I have heard that story before. Yet Watts had JYD as a top guy in Mid South and put the WCW world belt on Ron. Really hypocritical but that's wrestling... I guess :/

"Classic" wrestling!

-- It looks like WCW Thunder is coming to the WWE Network.

WWE Network News is reporting that WWE is adding the WCW Thunder library to their monthly digital subscription service starting March 19th.

Episodes will begin airing on the WWE Network starting Monday, 3/19, although it is not yet known how many episodes will be made available upon launch.

There was a period when Nitro was 3 hours where they didn't want to write 2 more hours so just had Thunder be a serious wrestling match show that was good. But then they gave up on that and turned it into The Nitro Clips Show with a few matches you don't care about here and there.

Some Thunders I didn't see, after 3 hour Nitros there's only so much you can take.

WWE naming the ladies battle royale after Moolah is getting a ton of heat

It should. She was terrible to the wrestlers she'd bring in. Everyone loves Mae Young because she was a sweet lady and funny. But Moolah was a terrible person until the 90s when she stopped and just became a TV character. But if a man treated women like Moolah treated women, they'd be up there with Chris Benoit, Jose Gonzales and Buck Zumhofe as the most hated figures ever.

I have read/heard some nasty stuff she was involved in but the Sweet Georgia Brown story is just incredibly sad and made me real angry reading it too.

WWE presented her as a nice old lady but Moolah was a terrible disgusting excuse of a human being. WWE should get ripped to shreds over giving her props.

It was probably a Stephanie idea since she's said Moolah and Mae were surrogate grandmothers for her since Vince doesn't have any kind of relationship with his mother (who is still alive I think.) And the McMahon kids are insulated from a lot in wrestling. Like they both still believe Bret was going to be on Nitro with the belt the night after Survivor Series if Vince didn't screw him. And I don't think Vince had any great fondness for her besides a boss/employee relationship.

And also by doing this they should shut up about Chyna's pornos now.

So Stephanie wouldn't have been aware of Moolahs deplorable behaviour?. I'm sure Vince Sr would have known or heard through the grapevine. Then Vince himself unless he's blinkered like a horse too. Wrestling is full of carnies but even Johnny Cochran couldn't defend what Moolah did. I mean Steph might see her as Grandma Moolah but the truth is 60+ years ago the ladies in WWE now would have been pimped out, used and abused & worse under Moolahs "care".

This is due to the paranoia during the sex scandals and steroid trial. They were brought up not to trust wrestling journalists or MSM journalists about wrestling stories because Vince tells them they lie about their father so how can you trust any other story.

One example of what I mean, Bruce Prichard brushes off Conrad asking him about it, saying "that's just rumors and innuendo."

I'm actually surprised he's defending her. It's not rumour and innuendo if people have gone on record to tell their stories.
For those unaware … the family of Moolah student Sweet Georgia Brown, aka Susie Mae McCoy, took part in a 2006 article alleging their mother told them she was badly beaten if she refused to have sex with men Moolah would send to her hotel room. They also claim Brown was drugged/raped under the WWE Hall of Famer’s watch and stiffed on a majority of the money she made.
Maxine's statement, who had her appearance on Rock n Wrestling nixed over Moolah
The Fabulous Moolah was a real-life heel. A lot of women paid to train at her school and then went out on the road. They risked life and limb in their matches and she repaid them with the worst kinds of abuses. She skimmed their money, she ignored women who were badly hurt, she pimped women out to creepy men and on and on. She was not a mother figure. She was more like Kali, the Indian Goddess of Destruction. I met her in my early 20s and I had never met such a monstrous person.

I was smart enough to get the hell away from her and start my own independent career in Tampa as part of the Championship Wrestling from Florida. Luna Vachon, Peggy Fowler and I all left together, which I hope put a serious dent in her confidence, if not wallet.

I understand why Moolah was so grotesque. Her family was dirt poor and she determined that she was never going to be hungry again. But it doesn’t excuse her dog-eat-dog behavior. I’d much rather see WWE establish a named match for outstanding wrestlers (and decent human beings) like Susan ‘Tex’ Green, Beverly Shade, Leilani Kai, Wendi Richter, Princess Victoria or Joyce Grable. They all put their hearts and souls into wrestling for decades and helped others along the way.

But wrestling isn’t PC. It’s about generating heat. And you can’t draw more heat than naming a match for The Fabulous Moolah. May she be the last of her kind.
WWEs revisionist history can't blur real facts. Moolah isn't a nice kind old lady she should have been locked up for what she did to Sweet Georgia Brown. Bruce is in Vinces good books so he's of course going to tow the PC line. Telling the Divas tweets praising her have been deleted. Cause facts is facts I guess. Vince Jr might not know all the details but I'm sure Vince Sr and the old school promoters knew the real deal. I'm sure SGB story is just one of many Im certain of it.

I agree. But it's just how Vince operates the WWE with a total bunker mentality. HHH and Stephanie will have to change, especially if Rupert Murdoch bought some or all of the company. Then they're not just the little rasslin' company the media can ignore, they're a corporate entity.
