-- Agents Al Snow, Pat Kenney and Shane Helms were all released from Impact Wrestling this week in a cost-cutting move. The company is now going to give agent duties to Sonjay Dutt and Abyss as the two can also double up as wrestlers.

Dutt is said to be "tight" with Jeff Jarrett and his primarily role will be to recruit top unsigned talent and to rebuild the X Division.

It is believed that one of the reasons Shane Helms was released is because Jeff Jarrett wants "his people" working major positions and also because Helms is closely aligned with Matt and Jeff Hardy, who are not only gone from the promotion but are at odds with Impact.

well that ppv once again was better than the wwe efforts, even Eli Drake's fluffed move turned out fine as he managed to turn it into something that worked decently, also Sharkboy! an unexpected return but it worked

She's essentially a child star since they trained her at 11 and had her working matches at 13. And when child stars get on drugs it doesn't end well unfortunately.

WWE should never be hiring teenagers. Think of all the 30 year olds who can't handle the business. A 18 year old getting instant fame, a lot of money and access to drugs is going to be a disaster 9 times out of 10. If you're lucky you're Sean Waltman or Jeff Hardy and get your life back in order in your late 30s. Or you could be a Von Erich or Terry Gordy.

Kelly Kelly is the only teenager who walked away unscathedfrom being a national star that young, but she also got out fast.

Didn't see this so posted it in the WWE thread. I just see a real bad ending to their relationship. Toxic is an understatement here, she already got used by Maddox like her brother said and Patron is a grown man old enough to be her pop who should know better. Can't WWE get involved send Paige to rehab and put a restraining order on him. Because like I said in the other topic I actually see this going all Benoit/Nancy because he's doing this publicly so imagine their fights behind closed doors.

No, they can't force her into rehab beyond drug testing her and if she fails say "go or you're fired." And only Paige can file a restraining order.

Seems she's still sticking up for Patron

As she's in a violative situation wouldnt it make sense for them to get involved in some way. Her family's across the pond so they can't do an intervention yet, essentially WWE is her legal guardian in this instance. I would imagine if she gets cut by WWE her US status would be at risk so maybe they should send her on a paid long vacation and let her parents and family take care of her. Plus it's one of those situations her parents need to get her help. I don't know if she's doing drugs, allegedly she is and Patron needs to be kept out of the picture. He's a very bad influence and should act his age and if he wants to go on coke binges and push the self destruct button he should do it on his own. So yea Paige needs an intervention and to get a million miles away from Patron because her movie will have a tragic ending and she'll be part of wrestlings equivalent of the 27 club.

You can't be a legal guardian for an adult. Once you turn 18 you are free to live your life however you choose. The only thing is you can be declared insane and become a ward of your parents or spouse or sibling. But she doesn't fit the criteria just because she's on cocaine and being abused. It's up to her friends and family to convince her to seek help.

As for WWE she's an independent contractor, so all they can do is give her a rehab ultimatum if she flunks another drug test. They can't do anything about Alberto like they couldn't do anything with Debra and Austin. Stephanie could give her a heart to heart talk. But abused women usually just deny there's a problem. So as sad as it is, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better.

Looks like The Sun is the first mainstream outlet to pick up the Paige story.

As noted, audio was released of a domestic battery incident which involved Alberto El Patron and Paige at the Orlando airport this past Sunday afternoon, and the audio reveals El Patron accusing Paige of domestic assault. As of this writing, no one has been arrested following the incident, and no charges have been pressed, and Orlando Police are investigating El Patron for Domestic Battery. Prior to the audio being released, Paige posted two Tweets explaining what happened at the airport, however the truth of the Tweets became suspect following the release of the audio, which appeared to contradict what Paige claimed on social media.

Paige claimed on social media that the incident involved a woman throwing a drink at Alberto El Patron, implying that was the issue’s catalyst. The witness, however, spoke with Heavy.com and called Paige’s allegation “completely false.” She added that El Patron “reeked” of alcohol as he chased after Paige inside the airport.

The woman then said Patron and Paige were “arguing back and forth, screaming at each other” in the airport, and that Paige at one point claimed Patron had been “doing cocaine” for two straight days and was abusing her.

The witness is reportedly from Tampa, and was dropping her mother-in-law off at the airport when she spotted Paige coming out of a restaurant looking “upset”, and pacing back and forth while on the phone with someone. Paige did note on social media that she had received bad news about a family member, which is what made her upset.

The witness also admitted to discreetly trying to take photos of Paige as she walked and talked on the phone. Paige apparently noticed her and walked back into the restaurant as one of the four people at her table walked out, presumably to check and see if she was still there. Paige suddenly came storming back out of the restaurant “crying and yelling.” El Patron, who at that point was visibly soaked in liquid, chased after Paige as she went to the nearby tram system. The witness believes the argument started because Patron said something negative about the uncle. The witness said, “from what I gather, he said something like, ‘I hope your f–king uncle dies tomorrow, and grabs her wrist because he was mad she was on the phone for so long. They wanted to leave, so he got mad and grabbed her wrist. She got upset and threw water on him and she ran out.”

The witness then followed Paige and Patron as they argued on the tram, and she overheard Patron saying at one point, “check her bag, she’s got all the coke in it, it’s all hers.” That is when the witness pulled out her phone again and tried to record the argument, which is where the TMZ audio came from.

Global Force Wrestling has suspended Alberto El Patron until the investigation into him for domestic battery is resolved.

The company issued a statement today: "Global Force Wrestling has indefinitely suspended Alberto El Patron, effective immediately, until the investigation is resolved following a recent incident in Orlando, Florida."

Prior to suspending him, GFW had noted that they were taking the incident seriously and that they would fully investigate it and cooperate with law enforcement.

El Patron was detained at the Orlando International Airport on Sunday following what one witness referred to as "an altercation" between him and Paige. TMZ then released audio of the incident, confirming that it was between El Patron and Paige after Paige had tweeted that they were the ones to get police involved after a fan threw a drink into El Patron's face.

In posts on Facebook, Paige's brothers both alleged that El Patron has physically abused their sister.

El Patron defeated Bobby Lashley at Slammiversary to become GFW's Unified Champion. He was one of the focal points of the post-PPV television tapings, but the company hasn't indicated whether those will air as intended.
I can't imagine he'd be edited out of shows since they can't fill the time.

Another thing I noticed was how Dave didn't sound surprised at all talking about it on WOR. Does Alberto have a reputation for domestic violence? You'd think since he's Mexican Lucha royalty given his family he'd be a little surprised. If this was Cody Rhodes or David Flair I think he'd be a little taken back.

He said something like "you take a gamble when you hire him." You gamble if he's going to get pissed off and quit, not beat up his girlfriend.

Paige is sticking up for him again on Twitter it seems.

Twitter users have responded accordingly saying she's stuck in an abusive relationship etc. Again I know legally WWE can't do much but morally they should step up to the plate. Because having one of their employees in a domestic violence situation reflects bad on them. Her brothers have written about it and her Dad in the past but they've worked matches/angles with him so in their minds it might be say stuff to create drama for a payoff in a big match. I'm surprised Alicia Fox and Rosa haven't commented on this or try to get her away from Patron. But maybe they don't want to get involved in fear they won't be friends with her anymore. It's a potentially serious situation here which could end in a Benoit 2.0 situation, her ODing to escape her predicament or she goes postal on Patron. Someone needs to step in now because this will only go from bad to worse. They'll be pics of her black and blue then saying "I'm OK everyone I fell over" and defending him over and over again. She's only in her twenties (24) and Alberto's 40. Also if it's to be believed they are married too which muddies the waters here as any "fight" can be played off as just a married couple arguing. But I think this is a violative situation that can combust at any time. I get Blake/Amy, Sid/Nancy, Whitney/Bobby, Kurt/Courtney and Chris/Nancy overtones from this and all those relationships ended tragically. Unless she gets out now Paige will sadly be another.

Paige might be charged with battery according to F4W
Paige could potentially be facing charges stemming from the domestic violence incident with Alberto El Patron that took place at the Orlando International Airport earlier this month.

In a story that was first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, detectives at the Orlando Police Department have found that probable cause exists to charge Paige with domestic battery. The information has been forwarded to the state attorney's office for review and to decide if charges will be filed.

The investigation into El Patron is still ongoing.

After initially claiming that her and El Patron were the ones to get police involved, Paige released a statement on Twitter last week that said she was the one who was held for potential battery charges after throwing a drink at El Patron. Police noted that El Patron was the only suspect listed at that time.

WWE has a zero-tolerance policy regarding domestic violence. The policy states that a performer would immediately be suspended if they're arrested for such a matter. Upon a conviction, the performer would immediately be terminated. WWE also maintains the right to fine, suspend, or terminate a wrestler if "incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct" is presented to them.

El Patron was suspended by Global Force Wrestling until the resolution of the investigation, though he still holds their Unified World Heavyweight title and isn't being edited out of episodes of Impact during the suspension.
