Arkagis Revolution is a new game for the Sega Genesis or Mega Drive which is set to launch in 2020. I asked for an early review copy of the game and thankfully got to play it before anyone else did and was thoroughly impressed!
It looks pretty cool but those character designs in the cutscenes are laughably bad.

What do you mean?!

New Game Gear game! On the Game Gear Mini.

[SEGA Partners Title Stage] The secret ball of the shooting game "Arresta Collection" released on December 24th was the new game "GG Arresta 3" for the first time in 24 years.

We have delivered the charm and new information with President M2 Horii!

Speaking of new shoot em ups on old systems, Zeta Wing has just been released for the C64. It looks good.

Video sponsored by Barclays. In a brand new series made by possible by support from Barclays, Digital Foundry tells developer stories that might not otherwise have been told. In this special episode, John Linneman talks to Bitmap Bureau and Big Evil Corp about how they created the brand new Sega Mega Drive/Genesis titles Xeno Crisis and Tanglewood.

Showdown is a 1 or 2-player action shooter for the Commodore 64, released in 2020. The game is inspired by a host of older titles with the same theme, going all the way back to Gun Fight from 1975.

Mad Stalker is a new modern game for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive released only in Japan in 2020 by Colombus Circle. I decided to import a copy and check out if the game held the test of time.

Demons Of Asteborg is a new original title for the SEGA MegaDrive/Genesis which will be released both as a physical cartridge for this console and as a downloadable ROM for emulators and flash cards.

It is a platform-based game with some metroidvania elements inspired by a lot of others MegaDrive/Genesis titles like Ghouls’n Ghosts, Castlevania, Mickey Mania, Space Harrier or Panzer Dragoon.

Moreover, the game will be ported on the Nintendo Switch and Steam and will be released in 2020.

Dizzy is back, by way of the almighty Oliver Twins, on the ZX Spectrum! Wonderful Dizzy is certainly a return to form for everyone's favourite 8-bit egg, but it's a bit more than just a nostalgia trip -- it's as modern and new a Dizzy game as it could possibly be, and one of the best Spectrum games of 2020. Let's have a look into it!

This is a WIP (Work In Progress), you will see some bugs and probably some changes will happen in the future, be it graphics, gameplay or other features. In this video, I'm showing a single-player game session with Haggar. The emulator used now offers a more faithful sound quality compared to the previous video: Retroarch with Genesis DX core + 60% filter + Nuked YM2612.
