I read in a comment on Kotaku (I think) that the front controller ports were just for show. I guess they're right.

A quick look at Ebgames.au shows them in stock for $119. Is that markup, or nice beaches tax?

Getting someone from the UK to order one for you might work out better, because postage from Australia to the US could end up being a lot.

That's Nintendo's RRP.

The NES mini was $100. The SNES one has the extra controller which bumps it up $20.

Seems Amazon & Game have stopped taking pre-orders
Game have this
'Sorry, this product is currently out of stock, but might be available in store '
& Amazon go with
'Currently unavailable.'
Looks like it may have sold out quicker than the NES one did in some places

Yeah, I heard it was up for 40 minutes. So unless you were up at midnight last night and happened to be at the right place, odds were very slim you would get one.

Great, preorders in the US opened at 1am and lasted about 30 minutes most places. Which means retailers must be expecting low stock. I just cannot fathom why Nintendo hates making easy money.

It's their way of giving back to gamers. Gamer buys 5 for $500, Sells 5 for $1500, then spends $1500 on those aaimbot things and the whole cycle starts again.
