The crazy thing is that they are just paying for the cover art. I wonder if these auctions will start popping up since that is super easy to fake.

Yep since the cart is the US one they just need to copy the PAL packaging. However if tons suddenly pop up on eBay you'll know they are fakes. IIRC aren't the big EA Sport carts multi region so in theory the game would work on a PAL megadrive.

Yeah they were multi region. In Australia, most of EA's early MD games were the Genesis versions, which is probably why I like EA's Gen cover art more than the MD ones.
