got another Ryzen 7 1800x from PCCG, $435 shipped. normally I HATE shipping (because I want it now) but since I haven't decided on motherboards or RAM for my dual builds it's fine.

Decided I will be selling my ITX build (and 1070's) to fund better cards for the dual build project hoping to get a couple of 1080ti's for about 900 each.

Google Home (got this about a month ago as an early Xmas present)

2x Google Home Mini ($37 each from Harvey Norman. this deal isn't live yet, but you jump on their site and ask about it and the online chat dude gives you 2x $37 vouchers for a Google Home Mini. Pretty sweet price)

Maybe I’m just missing the point like old people during the smartphone revolution, but I can’t understand why people want Google Homes and Amazon Echos. Like, what do you even do with it?

I listen to music (Spotify) and add stuff to the shopping list on it. I'll ask it some questions occasionally.

For me it's mainly music and they're in different locations throughout the house. I'd much rather listen to something on a Google Home versus my mobile phone. I could have just some bluetooth speakers instead, but I also have some Lifx smart bulbs on the way so I can control those through my Google Homes.

No he won't, he'd wonder why you'd want to downgrade to 8.1

Unless it shipped with 8.1 originally, you would have to buy a 8.1 key. Paying money for a unsupported, outdated and universally hated OS sounds like a terrible idea. But if I listen to Ian’s terrible decisions with minimal complaint, I’m willing to extend the same courtesy to you.
