The Open Handheld Thread

Post by Dr. Zoidberg »

That looks alright. A clone of a clone. It's a decent price on Aliexpress, when compared to an AGS-101.

Yes, there's a lot of decent bootleg gaming stuff on Aliexpress. And lots of other things as well.

It looks cool but it's a bit expensive.

$50 for a device that can’t even run Doom and Starfox seems cheap in the wrong way.

If I didn’t already have a GBA flash cart, I would totally consider buying one of those. That looks super nice.

This one looks like it could be the new Dingoo A320/GCW Zero. A beta version of Dingux has been ported to it.

Even with the default OS it runs pretty well.

And here's something else that looks cool, the PocketSprite. It emulates GB, GBC, Master System & Game Gear.

It's already hit it's funding goal after a day.

I'll probably buy them both.

That first handheld looks super interesting, but I wish it didn’t have the weird cartridge slot.

The cart slot is a bit weird although that's what happens when you use a GBA clone design for the case.

I'll probably order one of those next week.

Here's the thread at Dingoonity with all the info about it:

That'd be an instant buy for me if I could play NES games. If it's running GNUBoy and SMS Plus, it should be able to run an NES emulator right? :dontknow"

That and I'm worried it'll get busted up in my pocket after a few months :olol:

It's open source so I'm sure someone will port a NES emu to it.
