Nintendo E3 2018 Thread

Post by pixel »

Polygon wrote:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the series’ first Nintendo Switch game, will have more than 60 fighters. And that includes every single character ever featured in a Super Smash Bros. game.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate section of the Nintendo Direct presentation kicked off by showing several characters we remember, from Mario to Bayonetta, before cutting to what serves as a fitting tagline for the game: “Everyone is here.” That includes previously cut fighters, like Ice Climbers, Pichu and Young Link, as well as characters previously released as paid downloadable content, like Cloud and Ryu.

Each one will be included in the base game, and Nintendo promises to make them much simpler and quicker to unlock than in previous entries. We shouldn’t expect the majority of these old faces to be available from the start of the game, of course, but players will be able to choose from an entire plethora sooner than later.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch, with all your favorite fighters (and more) in tow, on Dec. 7, 2018.
Ridley from Metroid is also going to be a fighter. Princess Daisy is too, as something called an "echo fighter" — or basically an alternate to an original character with slightly different moves.

Here's the full Nintendo Direct presentation:

Fucking Ridley, 4Chan and GameFAQs are probably losing their collective minds over their meme character. But if this leads to a Solid Snake Amiibo, then I’m all for it.

Smash brothers looks promising.
I want to know more about the stages.

Having 10 million on the character roster is pointless without a 64 era hyrule castle, saffron city and sector Z.

If I can confirm those 3 levels then a switch, tonne of controls and game are all insta-buys
If I should Die Hard Arcade before I Alan Wake.

I wish all those stages would come back. FWIW, they brought back Hyrule Castle in the Wii U version as DLC.

The USB GameCube controller adapters are confirmed for Ultimate, too.

Could I use the USB adapter with say, a Wavebird?

If it’s the same USB adapter they had for Wii U, then yes.

Yes :) The Wii U adapters were added as usable controllers with a firmware update:

Since it's a yes on using wavebirds :) the only thing is the levels.
If those 3 levels I mentioned are included.. ALL IN NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Even Saffron city alone.
That level is AMAZING. I'm not really a pokemon fan, but Saffron City.
That stage is the prefect example of balance in a fighting game level, noob friendly, but gives pro's a chance to have fun too.
It has drops on either side to allow for skill kills, but a solid main platform and no bullshit random fucking shit all over the whole level..

Just put the level in and I'll buy it, and me and my friends will enjoy it.. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, JUST PUT THE LEVEL IN THE GAME!! and I'll be there on day one..
