got round to the ppv last night, it wasnt as bad as I expected but nothing too special either, couple of things remain in memory for now:
battle royala (spelling sucks I know) the Iconics done gone fucked up bit & went out so fast if I'd blinked I woulda missed it, this was actually pretty funny
later I think it was the Charlote/Beki one (cant recall exactly, WWE tends to blur together a bit) that had the ref visibly take orders on his head piece & acknowledge them, which was rather amusing/sloppy

It was since removed but it doesn't mean anything. They probably just want him to be a surprise and one of the webmasters didn't know since Hogan already told the media he was for sure going. This would be the right (for Hogan and WWE I mean) show to put him on since it's controversial anyway so there's not going to be any "racist Hogan back on WWE" articles. Then when he comes back for Wrestlemania or something they can say "he was already back."

But like you say they have controversy and heat going over there already. So adding Hogan to the mix does up the ante more but seems like Vince is incredibly nonchalant about it. Could cause a lot of negative publicity for the WWE and rightly so because the entire show going ahead is a mistake. I also doubt we'll see an apology from Hulk either because the WWE Universe thing is very apt because Vince and co do exist within their own bubble or universe.

Meltzer said they made a commercial announcing Hogan on Raw but decided not to air it at the last minute and also considered faking Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles in an empty arena and acting like it was live with fake crowd noise as it aired during intermission.

I'd like to see them do some green screen wrestling. Add in some effects, redo blown spots, multiple angles, it could be cool.

I remember that MTV cruiser show that had special effects. I think WWE's would be a bit better though.

No, back when TNA started. They were told a crowd was going to be inserted in. It was on the old Dirt Sheet thread on the old board.

134. Around March-April, several TNA guys started wrestling for gay videos. They weren't told they were in gay videos and wrestled in regular ring gear. BUT the matches weren't in front of a crowd, they were in front a "green screen" where they were told fans would be "super-imposed" later. They were told they would be sold in Germany I believe. Anyway, I didn't believe this at first but Elix Skipper, Sonny Siaki, and David Young all confirmed it. I laughed when they all said Bert Prentice got them the booking.

I don't think it's Virgil although he does look similar, mainly due to the bald head.

I'm 99% sure it's him. The only other two black non-wrestler employees they'd have backstage are Devon (who looks nothing like Virgil) and referee Darrick Moore.
