Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced Monday in Tokyo that he has agreed to a bout in the Rizin Fighting Federation.

Mayweather will fight on Dec. 31 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Both Mayweather and his opponent, Tenshin Nasukawa, were introduced at a news conference in Tokyo by Rizin officials.

It was not clear whether it will be a boxing match, an MMA fight or some other combat sport. The promoters said they were still working on the specific rule set.

Interesting tidbit for UK Bgers. Seems BT could be showing UFC til the end of the year before it switches to 11sports. UFC 231 will definitely be airing and talk was deal was ending on Dec 3rd .

TNT tried to bid for UFC a few months ago but couldn't compete with the ESPN money. ONE is kind of a friendly rival to UFC right now, but that may change with this. They've got a lot of Chinese business investors so they've got serious money and the production values of their shows are almost PRIDE level good. Plus they've got Michael Schiavello as their announcer so it will be cool to hear him freaking out over knockouts again.

Eleven Sports, which just signed a multi-year rights deal with UFC in the U.K., has lost the deal and the company is reported as being in trouble.

It has been confirmed that UFC has pulled out of its deal with Eleven based on a clause in the contract, and is expected to stay with BT Sports, which had the rights to UFC that were expiring at the end of this year.

Jones failed another drug test. You're shocked, I know.

That's cool news, the deal was supposed to end on December 3rd originally. Also the NBA was supposed to go to Eleven Sports too but Sky have picked up the NBA rights instead.

More from Meltzer on Jones
Dave Meltzer wrote:Turinabol is not only used for maintaining strength through weight cutting, it is one of the usages of it.

It was the drug the Russians used through government doping to cheat in the Olympics because there was no test for it. Then a test was developed and the wall tumbled down. It's a steroid. like Deca or Stanazolol or anything else, not a SARM or Clenbuterol. It's a drug used to enhance performance, win medals and to not get caught with. He got caught with it twice. Small doses means he's more than likely a rich guy who used it in a way to not get caught based on advisers, and well, they tested him the wrong hour twice.

What bothers me is the experts who last year said his level was so low (and still higher than many who have gotten the book thrown at them) are now saying that the same level or higher is from 18 months earlier when those same people publicly said it only stays in your system six weeks. And how was he clean on October 11, 2017 but not on December 9, 2018 from something in his system on July 28, 2017?

Don't be fooled by "small doses." First off, microdosing is the modern attempt at cheating, second almost everyone tests positive for small doses.

What Jones did was exactly what Belfort did. There is no difference other than Belfort's use and Mir's use and guys like that was legal because of the naivete of the regulars and the word of doctors looking to get their buddy to have an edge in competition. Jon didn't have a loophole wide open, and given his results of the first Cormier test, he probably could have under the old system.
Poor Dave. He thought he was going to have a nice, relaxing Christmas and then this popped up December 23rd.

Also they buried the shit out of Brock last night for being on steroids to try to take heat off of Jones. So it seems Lesnar isn't coming back. And it seemed like a subliminal insult to Cormier like "You want to fight that guy on steroids so bad, so why don't you want to fight this guy on steroids?"
