Is there any benefit to running GameCube games on the original hardware instead of a Wii? Because you can buy a Wii and an HDMI adapter for half the cost of just that GameCube HDMI adapter.

The image quality is cleaner on the Gamecube. The difference probably isn't worth the price though.

You'd get more value out of a scaler like the OSSC or the RetroTINK-2X, where you can hook up more than one system.

Apparently, there's a list of SMS + FM games that includes a bunch of PAL releases which were never released in Japan. So the expanded FM audio has been hidden in those games until recently.

I know it's crappier but I prefer the PSG sound we got in our games over the FM music.

The History of Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat is as big a part of my childhood as anything. My brother and I would gather around the SEGA Genesis for hours at a time, mashing buttons trying to pull off the dreaded 'Fatality' finishing moves.

2019 is looking pretty good for the Mega Drive; Shinobi, Xeno Crisis, Mighty Final Fight, Tanzer and Crypt of Dracula all looking good.
