Metroid Prime 4 has been restarted and Retro Studios are now working on it. The game is years away.

That's a bummer, but not an unexpected move from Nintendo. Maybe the original devs thought they could reboot Metroid Prime: Federation Force?

They should release Metroid Prime Trilogy HD to tide people over for the next 3 or 4 years.

There's a bunch of Wii games that deserve the HD treatment, DKC Returns and Punch Out would be pretty awesome.

No, it’s not some horrible nightmare, Nintendo has in fact announced the development of Metroid Prime 4 will be restarted, with the original developer Retro Studios now collaborating with producer Kensuke Tanabe.

Prior to this shock announcement from Nintendo, there were rumours circulating late last year about the re-release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch as an appetiser. So, what’s the current status of this project? According to a series of tweets by Game Informer’s Senior Editor Imran Khan, “it's been long done” and the initial announcement for the trilogy collection on Switch was supposed to happen last month, but not necessarily at The Game Awards. Why exactly this game wasn’t revealed by Nintendo around this time is unknown.

Over on ResetEra, Khan said Metroid Prime 4’s development reset is likely to alter Nintendo’s schedule and mentioned how there was more “Metroid stuff” in the pipeline to anticipate.

How could they announce catsuits and 3D World asthetics to Mario Maker and not also announce 3D World? Very sad.

Super Mario Maker 2? Link's Awakening remake?

I'm taking the whole day off for SMM2 and playing it for 8 to 10 hours like I did for the original. They've already shown so many new options in that sizzle reel, it's a guaranteed favorite for me.

I find it funny how excited I was over something as basic as adding slopes in Mario Maker.

Tetris 99 is pretty good. I'm not that good at it though cause I like to take my time building things up, which you can't really do in this.

Now we need Super Mario Kart 99. And Dr. Mario 99.

It’s an online subscription just like PS+ or Xbox Gold. Just pay the $20 for the entire year. Then you can get it, multiplayer access in games, and an entire catalog of NES games.
