Why is Bernie Sanders the only possible nominee who isn't a phony? Don't they have anybody under 70 who won't lie about dumb shit like this or being Native American or flip flopping on everything when the trends change? Bernie seems like the only honest politician in America, and I don't agree on all of his policies, but he's upfront about who he is and has had the same views since the 60s.

Because Bernie Sanders is a political wonk. He's a career politician in a good sense, someone that wants to put policy in front of fundraising it seems. Politics draw people with "charisma" and "people skills," but sometimes they turn out to be more akin to sociopaths. I'm not labeling Kamala Harris, but it's my general perception of candidates at the state and federal levels.

It's both a testament to Bernie's character and a curse to his career that he's such an unapologetic, hard-line progressive. I'm in favor for many of his proposals, but cheaper healthcare and free college are an uphill battle that will require many years before his ideas would reach their intended goals.

But I'm most impressed with his fundraising and campaign practices. I think a lot of rats would run from out the wall if we put donation caps on campaigns and/or provided much more transparency on campaign financing.

You're right. But if people were smart the correction for Trump would be a policy wonk who is all substance and doesn't want to be a sideshow. The media wouldn't want that, though. Their dream would be if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was old enough to run so the campaign would be an episode of Roast Battle with Trump.

But right now besides Sanders, they all look like people Trump will bait to play his game of getting ugly and that's how he wins.

So apparently the kids on 4chan have abandoned Trump and now support some guy named Andrew Yang who is running for the Democrat's nomination.
