Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Marty has been saying about recruiting a fourth member for Villian Enterprises, could that be Mox?

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Probably not because it would mean he'd be in ROH like PCO and Brody. Plus it goes against Moxley doing a lone wolf gimmick now.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Moxley is so much better outside of WWE. It's like a completely different wrestler.

If you haven't seen this match watch it
They could be the replacement for Omega vs Okada for New Japan. Ospreay is definitely having a better match quality year than Kenny this year.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Meltzer gave Ospreay vs Takagi 5 and 3/4 stars. So it's officially his MOTY since he gave Omega and Tanahashi 5 and 1/2.

Confirmed for the G-1 tournament: Okada, Tanahashi, White, Archer, Juice, Naito, Evil, Sanada, Ibushi, Cobb and Ishii. Ospreay and Moxley are rumored to be in but not confirmed. I'd imagine Suzuki and Yano will also be in.

They're doing an angle where Moxley ate part of Juice's eyebrow.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Moxley won a squash but the crowd loves him because he works the American way of playing to the crowd during the match and that's new to them.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
The tags and Taichi vs Ishii were just okay. Ishii is great but Taichi puts me to sleep.
Tama Tonga stopping the match to critique Evil's tackling abilities was funny.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Ibushi and Naito are trying to kill each other. Ibushi is playing with fire taking those head drops on the ring apron. He needs to stop that.
That was masterful booking by Gedo. Keep the belt on Okada but keep Jericho strong. And then he's got two matches for whenever he comes back (Okada rematch and Tanahashi.)
I'd say just watch Ospreay/Lee, Ibushi/Naito and Okada/Jericho.

Re: New Japan/Puroresu Thread
Meltzer said Ibushi was injured in the spot but nobody knows how bad since New Japan doesn't disclose injuries. But it doesn't appear he was hospitalized.
They've got to stop ring apron spots. Takagi doing Death Valley Drivers on it is fine because he is in control and just slams your back down it. But pretty much everything else isn't worth it.
