That Mike Tenay and Stacy Keibler segment was so weird. Mike was just the jovial play by play guy known for getting very excited for Lucha. And then he's just a total heel here.

Thing is though WWE could get Luke Harper to do a Bob Ross gimmick and paint for 4 hours on PPV and some fans still would watch it. Fox giving them a billion or whatever for SmackDown has given them the green light to put out a garbage product and because they have all that money at their disposal if the product does tank it's meaningless because it will prop them up financially for years.

ROH doing those bad attendances and 800 PPV buys that should be what WWE is doing in theory because whilst they are in a rut creatively, Ring of Honors product surely isn't as bad as WWEs is. WWEs roster isn't at fault though it's just creatively they have no clue.

Cody, Kenny, Hangman and the Bucks not going to WWE surely has to rank as one of the smartest ever decisions ever in wrestling. If there was just WWE and no alternatives I, as I think as a lot fans would have tuned out totally a long time ago. But like Vryan says some would still watch anyway and that's the key to WWEs long term success - loyalty.

You're right, they're running a system where they're always going to make money unless something catastrophic happens like AEW thinks up a revolutionary idea like the nWo was in 1996 that makes them the bigger draw and makes WWE look out of date (which they already are, obviously.)

We'll see what happens with ROH with Rush. He didn't mean much for MLW but maybe on a bigger stage he can be a star. He might not translate because he got over as a huge heel in CMLL by doing heel tactics that aren't really over in the US because they've been so over used here. Plus he had the story of assaulting a security guard pretty bad for no good reason that fans here don't really know about. But he should certainly be better for them than Taven.
