I just want Andor back!

Season 1 was best star wars anything since 1983.

I was totally looking forward to more Mandalorian and Ashoka and and all the other shows and new movies, untill I saw Andor and season 1 defined what star wars could and should be.

Bring back Andor already.

The first 4 and a half episodes were basically setting up the real show (6-12 is the real stuff), but even the slow paced setup of those first 4 and a half episodes I found more interesting than about half the star wars things made this millennium.

Currently reading Rise of the Red Blade, a history of Iskat, a Jedi who would become the Thirteenth Sister. It's by Delilah Dawson and I can't recommend it enough. She basically is to Star Wars novels what the creators of the Mandalorian are to the TV line in terms of making chicken salad out of the chicken shit that Disney tried to turn the Star Wars universe into.

This could be the best series yet.

And shit, I need to start rewatching Andor. Maybe I'll start that Sunday evening.

So I've watched the first 2 episodes of Ahsoka and they are just amazing. Probably the darkest series yet (tho they do feature an adorable space kitty). Rosario Dawson doesn't play Ahsoka so much as she transforms into the character before our eyes. The most seemlessly strong performance I have seen on a Star War show in a long time. I'm also *FEELING* the two Sith adversaries that serve the Big Bad so far - totally get a Bane/Zannah vibe from them. You really should watch this.

I don't get Ahsoka at ALL.
none of it makes any sense. I've seen 6 episodes and simply can't be bothered with the last 2...

I can understand that people who've watched every animated series and read every book and have read and memorised every detail in the universe about star wars on the various wikis like it... But I haven't. I've watched every live action movie and series (including the much hated holiday special) and played a handful of the games.

What is ANY of this series supposed to be?
Andor felt like real star wars,
Ahsoka feels like a cheap copy of an interpretation of what some random person thinks star wars is about.

And it's highlighted a problem I've never had with star wars before:
Do light Sabers have different power levels? Because in one thing they can melt through god damn blast doors and boil enemies inside and kill Jedi masters, and now it's trivial to be impaled by one.. but only trivial for a main character apparently and random others die from being brushed with one... I'm probably just angry because I'd rather be watching Andor still.

I don't know any of these characters and the show assumes I do, so I find myself asking who cares?
And when the only character from REAL ACTUAL star wars in this whole series shows up, his appearance makes no fucking sense to me at all?

all the other tv shows and movies at least have the decency to introduce you to their nobody characters and in many cases, even gets you to like them. Ashoka assumes you know them all... That is why it fails.

I justwant Andor back! and I already know how that story ends. But unlike Ashoka, it's interesting and makes sense for a casual viewer and not a super fan.

It you rock up to a cinema to watch a movie and then move on, this series is kind of a waste of time. Aside from looking pretty, it adds practically nothing.

If after you've been to the cinema you proceed to learn every single fact about the movie, you'll get a lot more from Ahsoka than I did.

I'll take more Mando, Book of Boba Fett, Obi or anything thing else live action before I want more of this though.
Sorry mega fans.

For just the briefest second I thought I was finally seeing Star Wars Detours... And my heart was happy.

Then I realised it was not in fact Detours, and I became sad. What the hell was that?

Give us Detours! or at least a new robot chicken star wars.
