I might have to watch F/X tonight in his honor. What a great dumb 80s cop/action movie.

I just filmed opening a box of tapes and crap earlier today.... When I noticed Brian Dennehy was on one I thought of that exact scene!

Patton Oswalt had a great story about he was at the premier of Batman Begins where they had an incredible seafood buffet that hardly anyone was going to because they were all actors who barely eat. So Patton goes up because he doesn't care. He looks over and sees Brian Dennehy filling up a plate and saying "Hell yes, this is all ours!" and then they hung out and stuffed their faces for hours as the skinny people looked miserable.

I love Little Richard to death. My grandmother and stepdad adored him and I grew up listening to his records with them. My grandma said that he was the one African American that she would leave my grandfather for in a heartbeat if he walked up to her and started singing. RIP, you wonderful big haired God. My grandmother and I loved you.

Very sad to hear that Andre Harrell, Little Richard and Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk have passed. Each very influential in their respected musical genre(s). Little Richard knocked down racial barriers and pioneered Rock & Roll music. Kraftwerk switched the whole game up with their music and their electronic sound had an influence on the early days of Hip Hop. Andre Harrell put a lot of big name R&B/Hip Hop artists on the map and what he started with Uptown with the "Hip Hop Soul" sound, which Puffy built on further with Bad Boy Records.

R&B singer Betty Wright has also sadly passed.

RIP
