Yea definitely, I think he took an interesting move going to the Padres instead of where most folks were expecting like to a bigger market team like the Dodgers or Yankees but the move to the Padres now puts them in playoff contention. The White Sox offered $250m for 8 years and two $35m options for year 9 and 10. The $300m is over 10 years from San Diego.

Mike Trout has signed a 10-year $360-million contract extension with the Anaheim Angels. They owe him close to $430m over 12 years.

Also the two Tokyo Dome opening series games were very good.

He'll be 46 soon but still, he's a real fun guy to have around and could be still be an asset if he's used correctly.

I imagine having a cheap belt is symbolic in terms of having the lowest player salaries. Funny how the free agency market is iffy at the moment too.

Tampa Bay must be holding the belt as their payroll is just over $60m

https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/

"Boston, you may be the World Series champions, but you gotta a $220m payroll!. Then you look at us, the Tampa Bay Rays...$60m...I'll say that again...SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS!!!!. You wish you could pay your guys just $60m...that's why we are the reigning and defending MLB Lowest Salary champions"

Throws down the $20 toy belt...

"We sat their with our empty cereal box, our crayons and some superglue and we made our own MLB lowest salary belt!!!...

Jose Alvarado is a monster when he wants to be. And Chuck Nazty is a good hitter for a guy who looks like he's homeless even though he's worth $100 million.

I'm calling it: Chris Davis is the new Billy Cundiff in Baltimore. He's going to have to wear a disguise when he goes out. "Crush Davis" needs to be going back to crushing Adderall and snorting it in the clubhouse.

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/or ... do-nothing
Back to present day - the average annual value on Davis’ deal through 2022 is $23 million. Divide that by 162 games per season, and he earns $141,975.31 per game, benched or batting.

Davis’ performance and value have woefully and significantly sunk each year since signing, and 2019 has started no higher than at rock bottom. So far, Davis is 0-for-17 with 11 strikeouts in seven games.

Bottom line: Chris Davis has earned almost a million dollars ($993,827.16) so far in 2019 and has gone 0-for-17 in that time.
If he's tanking on the main roster can't they send him to the Minors for a while to get his confidence back up?.

No, they can only bench him (they did last year for a few games) unless he agrees to it.
