They've taken this down from any major steaming and digital music service I can search :ocry: I couldn't even find a halfway decent torrent site, but some searching led to be a dodgy direct download site.
I can hook you up. I have all of their albums.

It's actually their worst album, which is a compliment. When they pretty much dropped the rap and became an R&B group they got great. Unfortunately nobody heard Jesus Wept, Dearest Christian or Fucked Music. But they were great R&B albums and it sucks Prince Be's final years were so bad.

Thank you :osmile: The local used CD shop had all the albums for $3 a piece, so I'll go pick them up tomorrow.

I'd just like to know what kind of licensing shitstorm that the P.M. Dawn catalog is locked up in. It's one thing to not want your music streamed, but it's another to basically stop all sales.

Two issues. A relative is using the name PM Dawn claiming Prince Be gave the rights to him while in the hospital. It sounds like he did it desperate for money because the guy made the comment "I saved his house from going into foreclosure." He's done re-recordings of the hits I guess to get streaming royalties. He also plays in small countries to crowds that don't realize that isn't the real group. It's pretty shady and he sucks.

Also their record label went out of business (which was why Fucked Music is so rare) and was purchased by another label that later shut down. So ownership of the masters is probably spotty.

That's what I was afraid of: Some heel took over the estate after Prince Be died. The local shop says the four main albums are available so I can get them ripped to FLAC and backed up.

It's a weird feeling that something like these albums aren't immediately available, legally or illegally. I'm missing the days of What.cd and the other big music torrent groups where something like PM Dawn could be saved from all the licensing BS.

I had been laying on the floor too long and I got pins and needles in my legs to the point I couldn't get up.
So I said to my brother who was right near the power point: I can't feel my feet, can you plug my charger in.
He plugged it in, threw me the phone end and sang.. POP POP ELECTRIC FEEL NOW! DUN DUN

and just like that MGMT's Electric Feel, a song I haven't thought about or heard in what must be a decade, has been stuck in my head for nearly week now.
No matter how many times I play the fucking thing, I CAN'T SHAKE IT.
It's made worse by the fact I can only name one other song by them, and untill I got the song again, I had no idea they were still together as a group.

Not even the holy trinity of 2020 music can dislodge Electric Feel for too long:

As soon as I stop listening to anything else, it slips into my head again.
And I have Ordered Point on Vinyl, but I know I won't be seeing it for at least a month, maybe 2. (who buys records in 2020? let alone gets them from overseas)
If I should Die Hard Arcade before I Alan Wake.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say a lot of marijuana was consumed during the making of this video.

I hope indefinitely :) The Japanese music industry seems so off, why didn't they make a huge push when the original YouTube video and City Pop took off? If Mariya was with a U.S.-based label, they would've made a full-court press to get the song everything to vacuum up the royalties.

About a year or 2 ago it returned to Spotify for a month or so and then disappeared. Hopefully it will stay for good this time.

In other news, all songs by The KLF have been removed from Spotify, which sucks.

Good news: The KLF are back on Spotify and a couple of extra tracks like It's Grim Up North & Doctorin' The Tardis are on there too. Looks like more stuff is coming soon. Hopefully it includes Fuck The Millennium.

They've also started an official YT channel with 1080p versions of the videos.
