It looks like Neighbours might be finished. They have stopped filming.

Soap operas are pretty much done in the US too because their audience of old ladies is dying and there's not too many housewives anymore.

Sit down Brook. There's something I must tell you.

What is it Kelly?

I wasn't with Simone that evening Brook. I spent the night with Gary.

Your ex husband Gary, my business rival? What are you telling me Kelly?

I'm saying... Brook Jr.

What about Brook Jr?

He isn't your android!

Androids. everybody needs good androids. androids have feelings too.

Heard this on the news on radio at work earlier, turned out to be less the show dying earlier in the year & more of it going on a gap year, other than those in the anouncement I wonder how many they'll get back & how many have since moved on

Returning: Futurama

A pandemic, vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture and streaming TV ...Futurama is back after a 10 year hiatus.

Season 11 of Futurama will premiere in Australia in late July.

After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

Monday July 24 on Star / Disney+

I'm no AI mastermind superfan but I'm pretty sure Futurama isn't an Australian show.

I'm fairly confident it's from the United States of America... But don't quote me on that fact.

The news was posted in here because it's about when the show is being shown in Australia.

I see. In other news, I will sub to Disney plus the day before it airs, and unsubscribe when it's axed again... Maybe it'll last 3 months this run?

They've made 20 episodes but only 10 will be shown for season 11. So maybe a year.

I forgot I made a Futurama thread. The Australian news could have gone in there. Meh.

You knew if you called it the wrong season it would piss me off didn't you? And it has! :grr:

It's season 8..." Well, if I know anything about which number is bigger than the other number, I'd say"... Only 7 seasons have aired.

I am technically correct, which as we all know is "the best kind of correct"

Haven’t you heard. Australia is the fifty-second state of America! The fifty-first being the state of drunk and disorderly which has a population greater than New York, Texas and Washington DC combined.
