Grendel update: He gets his leg amputated on Tuesday. He hasn't been using the leg at all and he's been in a fair bit of pain, so it's time to say goodbye to the leg.

He's on a lot of pain medication now so he's doing OK but last week he was in a pretty bad way.

You should get one of those chariot/cart/wheelchairy/drag along thingys for him.

Sure he CAN walk on 3, but he’ll be faster with a chariot/cart/wheelchairy/drag along thingy
Hank Azaria not playing Apu on the Simpsons will make the role as irrelevant as the Simpsons has been as a series since 1999!

I have looked at dog wheels, but that's more for if he injures his other leg.

He can run pretty quick on 3 legs still, especially when he hears the possum out in the backyard.

Just visited Grendel, he's doing well after the surgery. They took him out for a pee and they said he is walking around better already, so hopefully everything works out OK.

That sucks about his leg, but it sounds like he's already coping well enough.

Yeah he should be alright once it heals. It will just be a bit weird for a couple of weeks.

Sorry to hear that about Grendel but it's good that he's adapting well.

Grendel's doing really well. Here are some pics from Wednesday.

The redness/bruising has come down a fair bit already so it doesn't look as bad now.

Grendel had his stitches out today. He's doing well. He went to the dog beach for the first time in 7+ months.

today? Midnight Vet?
or do you mean last year?
also, why did they let you on the dog beach to take a photo?

Your post is the most confusing thing I have ever seen. :oshocked:

The vet appointment was at about 4pm.

I had to dress in a dog suit to be allowed on the beach.

That dog is the biggest wimp being punked out by a kitten that didn't even really hit them. :olol:
