Re: Jay Briscoe Dead At 38
One of the daughters was also paralyzed in the accident. This is the worst wrestling death for me because I knew Jay a little bit since he and Mark are childhood friends with one of my friends so I got to hang out with them some when ROH was in Baltimore. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Mark is pretty quiet but Jay was just as charismatic as he was in promos so talking to him you just realized what a one of a kind talent he was. Everyone will miss him.

Hopefully the surgery the daughter had can help her recover. It doesn't sound good though.
It's all very sad.

Shit. One of those guys that, along with his brother, you literally never heard a single bad thing about. When the Rock and Roll express says you're one of the best tag teams they've ever worked, you know you're good. Hell of a string of singles matches too. Great father and family man and this is so sad. I pray for his child and hope the family finds peace.
So warming to hear the wrestling business remembering and wanting to help the family of their own.

Jay's funeral was so big they had to put people in an entire school and show it on the big screen at their school football field. Plus live stream it for people who were turned away. Caprice Coleman and Mark gave the eulogies.

Mark's a great speaker. I'm not religious and never will be, but he put over what he believes in very well.

Going to shame myself a little bit. I didn't think Mark would be this great a speaker, but he's obviously way more intelligent than I thought. He plays his character really well because he sure as hell convinced me that was him irl lol.
Great speech and I want to see more of his work.
