Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
Oh fuck Bully Ray. He's coasted on the whole intimidating the fans gimmick for 20 years to cover for a deficit in talent. Who is he without his table gimmick and his tag team gimmick and his threaten the fans gimmick? Nothing. Fuck him.
And I *would* say that to his face too.
Hey Bully, can your girl run the ropes right yet? Can you throw a decent punch after almost 30 years?
Trash.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
The Beautiful People were the only wrestlers that somehow got worse with the more experience they got in the ring. Not due to injuries, they just devolved, especially Velvet.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
Flip said on BTE when they had the countdown clocks on their cellphones his said 2 years. Yea Marty is likely to leave (I read before Dave said the Fall his deal was up earliest as July) but WWE might put out a big money offer with assurances and if they can poach one of the Elite that would be a huge get for them. As for ROH, I agree it's not smart putting the belt on a guy who wants out but it would give them a temporary buzz at least to sell tickets and PPVs. Plus if they gave Marty a deal where he can work New Japan etc too he could stay with ROH. Plus it gives him an opportunity to further up his value so when AEW and WWE do come in, he has more leverage.Bandit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:47 am They don't want Scurll in a top position because he's leaving in the Fall. And Gordon isn't even hiding he's planning to leave as soon as his deal ends. He's been on BTE to remind people he'll be there as soon as he can. So in their minds they want ROH Lifers on top so they can build on that when Marty leaves in 3 or 4 months.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
We saw with them and WWE money isn't the issue.
If he wants to work with New Japan still, AEW will give him that. But I don't think he loves New Japan as much as Ospreay does. I think he's closer to the Bucks where he worked there because at the time it made sense, but the landscape makes everything different now.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
Flip is out with injuries more than Ahmed Johnson.
ROH needs to stop pretending people care about Matt Taven.

I'd rather Velvet still fail in the ring than open a wrestling school. What a clusterfuck that would be. Imagine her trying to teach you highspot chains.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
Meltzer said ROH is offering Marty Scurll the biggest contract offer anyone has been given in ROH. Where was that money when Cody and the Bucks were leaving?
That sounds smart, but then he says Matt Taven has been offered the second biggest contract in ROH. Nobody cares about that guy. He knows if he signed with WWE he'd be on NXT and then go nowhere on the main roster. And in AEW he certainly wouldn't be top level, especially since they already have Shawn Spears playing his role.

I think there's a ready made spot for Marty in AEW (same with Flip) and I'd actually be surprised if he stays with ROH.

Jim Johnson has made a new theme for PCO
https://www.f4wonline.com/ring-honor/ji ... pco-293351
AEW should hire Jim to do their themes

Yeah, Marty wants to be with his friends. It's just funny they are trying to keep him and Taven and not Cody.

Re: ROH Thread (Spoilers)
I wonder whether Cody told them that he and the Bucks were going to start up their own company or saw how successful All In was and thought they'd be going anyway so they didn't bother making them offers.

Death Beyond Dishonor drew 800 buys and they had to give tickets away to get 600 people in the crowd.
