In this video we take look at the Z1 ASUS ROG Ally! This is the less expensive Version of the ROG ally coming in with A 6 Core 12 Thread Zen 4 CPU as opposed to the Z1 Extremes 8 Core 16 Thread Version. Is the Z1 Non Extreme Version of the ROG ally Worth $599? We still get the 7" 1080P 120Hz Free-sync Screen and a 40Wh battery but can the Ryzen Z1 APU Keep Up? Let's find out. Also know as the ROG Ally (2023) RC71L RC71L-ALLY.Z1_512

Hmm. There's a new one?

Still haven't got my hands on the old/better one. There is stock in Melbourne now so in theory I COULD go about half an hour away and get one. But... the problem is Lenovo announced the legion go by the time the ally came in stock within a million kilometres.

So now I may as well just wait again because I suspect legion go will be a nicer computer, but again I'm going to need to get my hands on it and be able to walk in to a store and walk out with the thing I want.

And probably by the time the Legion go makes it here and is in stock Valve and Asus will have announced steamdeck and ally 2's that I may as well wait for.

They announced this one at the same time as the other one, it just came out later. It's a bit cheaper due to have a lower powered APU.

The New Lower Cost Z1 ASUS ROG Ally Is An Awesome Emulation Handheld! It Can Run PS3 at 60FPS using RPCS3, Emulate Nintendo Switch, PS2, PSP, 3DS, Gamecube, Xbox 360 and More! It offers better emulation performance than the steam deck but can it match the Z1 Stream ROG Ally?
