F-Zero FINALLY comes back after like 20 years, and it's that??? Get fucked.
How about adding the 64DD game to switch online instead?

And Metroid fans think they know what it's like to wait a fucking eternity for a game only for it to come back and be shit.

Oh no, I'm not racerist against SNES F-zero.

I love the game. If multiplayer Mario Kart didn't exist on the snes, F-zero would hands down be the best racing game on the system. F-Zero was the second racing game I ever adored. I had played a very few racing games before F-zero, but it and Mario Kart started something. Mario kart for teaching me about competition and silly fun. F-Zero for teaching me about good lines, not hitting things and pushing myself to do better than I could before.

I love driving and racing games and have played a lot of them over the years. Even more time than I've spent driving and racing real cars. F-Zero on SNES started that love.

So to see a series that started a love sink so, SO low as to be a battle Royale style Tetris 99 clone would be making me choke on my own rage if I wasn't so absolutely heartbroken that after more than half my life waiting to play a new F-Zero game THIS is the F-Zero they chose.

And it gets worse when I think about all the games that came later as I grew up...
Best racing games on Gameboy advance. (Close call with Mario kart advance being VERY good, but without the SNES tracks it wouldn't have been as good so maximum velocity, GP legend and Climax win)
F-Zero GX and AX were better than double dash. In arcades and GameCube.

And X wasn't as good as MK64... But it's sure as shit more playable now with Mario Kart 64 being entirely unfucking playable these days.
X runs at 60 frames a second. On a 64. Developers today can't make games run at 60 frames a second with 10 trillion times the video compute power.

I'd almost want to personally slap Miyamoto himself if they even put his name on this game.

I don't care if they make a bad Mario or Zelda game (only if they fuckup a remake so absolutely terribly it's shameful COUGHlinksawakeningCOUGH) but don't fuck up F-Zero.

No more F-Zero games EVER would be better than this. Preserving a legacy of good games is more important than uninspired, lazy, hackneyed battle royale style.

I wouldn't be quite as Depressed/livid if the series had a single bad game before this point. But it hasn't, so I am.

Miyamoto doesn't like Metroid or F-Zero, so here we are. I've abandoned hope that Nintendo will create true-to-form sequels for any action title (expect for NSMB, frustratingly enough).

An F-Zero game will only appear when Nintendo feels like they have hardware to showcase a gimmick. They keep putting these battle royale games on a timer, so I guess it was F-Zero's time. I wish Mario 99 was still around, that shit was fun.

The indie/homebrew and ROM hacking are the two places I rely for new games.

I lost my goddamn shit when Another Code was announced. The hair on my arms stood up and I actually screamed. I barely could even focus on the rest of the games out my sheer excitement. Best Direct announcement in years.

We review a bunch of games on Nintendo Switch and sometimes they don't launch in a great state... but then they get massively improved further on down the line. Oliver Mackenzie circles back to take a look at some games that have genuinely improved since we first looked at them - kicking off with No Man's Sky, dramatically better than launch and packing a customised version of FSR2 that looks great on the Nintendo hybrid.
