I've been re playing Le Mans 24 hours on Dreamcast.

It's held up quite well. Was a great game back in the day, and even though age has turned it from a simulator to an arcade game (like a lot of old simulators now play like) it's still great fun. I'm 8 hours into my race, 7 hours was on a wet track with about 6 hours of rain but now it's dry I've just put the downforce to minimum and the tyres to hard and in my next session I'm gonna try get some good times and good lead in. I'm on lap 144 and 10 laps ahead of second place.

One of these days I'll find me a second driver and do a full uninterrupted 24 hours again.

I finally got my hands on assembling and trying the newest product from FunnyPlaying, a Portable Cart Flasher! You can read and write Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance games without needing a computer. And, it's almost half the price of other flashers on the market. So, what's the catch?

Let's see how the AGS-101 holds up in 2023 with so many other backlighting options on the market! I compare it with the FunnyPlaying IPS mod and do an OEM shell swap between the two. That's right folks, I did SURGERY on a GBA SP.

Hey Calavera!

I tried to play Skies of Arcadia again. On a test setup I was enjoying it enough that I thought:
Y'know what? This game has aged quite well and it's not as boring as I remember it being the last few times I tried to play it'
So I set up a proper monitor (my favourite CRT) and a proper desk with a proper chair and some proper headphones on the proper platform (dreamcast with VGA, naturally) and was going to get right into it proper.

Apparently the PAL game doesn't support the VGA box, and rather than try play the whole game on Svideo or god forbid Composite CVBS like a god damn peasant I'm now downloading the NTSC version and hoping it works with all my stuff.

If it doesn't work right away, screw the whole thing and I'll go back to various racing and light gun games.
