You can now play 100 classic Atari 2600 games on PC

Atari Vault is going for $16.99 on Steam

Atari Vault, a collection of 100 classic Atari 2600 games including Asteroids, Centipede, and Tempest, is now available for download on Steam. The bundle, first announced back in January, is only for PC and costs $19.99. However, you can nab it on sale today for $16.99. Naturally, the collection has minimal hardware and software requirements so even the most beat-up of Windows laptops should be able to enjoy the 8-bit classics.

It hasn't been too hard historically to play old Atari games on a modern-day computer. But Atari Vault has a few perks, beyond being an exhaustive collection compiled all in one place. For one, it supports online and local multiplayer, which is a plus for anyone looking for a high dose of nostalgia and wants to play dual-screen arcade shooters with a friend. The collection also supports Valve's Steam controller and comes with original cabinet and box art. Check out the full list of titles here:

I read the title and my first thought was: now??? you could do that 20 years ago!
