They probably should have tested the games before dumping them out. Or maybe talk to people running modded Switches to see what works best.

Nintendo has released the Nintendo Switch Expansion Pack N64 games that emulate several titles. While this allows the Switch the play N64 games such as Zelda: Ocarina of time, Super mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Winback and more the common consensus is that this is not a great port as it emulates the classic Nintendo 64 console in a poor way. While this does include North American and European versions of the game, reports say that fog, frame-rates, and input timing are affected all of which is covered in this Performance Review. Is this the Link to the Past we all hoped? Watch and find out. Nintendo Online N64 games may have been something that we've all waited for, but maybe Nintendo should take another pass.

So that looks cool and all, and I GREATLY appreciate that it runs on original hardware, but to be honest, Kaze romhacks are a bit too buggy for me to enjoy. Last Impact was an incredible modding feat that should be appreciated for the technical marvels he was able to implement into a Mario 64 rom. But it wasn’t fun to play because there was just so many problems with collision and glitchy mechanics. I fear that this hack will be the same way.

It's a strange feeling, basically every Nintendo game I ever loved was created 20 years before Smash Melee. Don't get me wrong there've been some great games since, despite Nintendo being complete assholes. :olol:

I take issue with that last video. I haven't watched it, and I'm not going to... But "Forgotten games" and it shows snowboard kids and the world is not enough in the thumbnail.

They weren't forgotten, they were just shit.

Saying shit games were forgotten is even more retarded than calling final fantasy 10 a hidden gem.

Why the fuck does anyone still play a bond game that isn't goldeneye when goldeneye already exists? And snowboard kids? It's the game you rented when the video store had already rented 1080 AND cool boarders 2 to someone else first.

Forgotten games my fucking ass.

I think it's because of a bit of an age difference. Austin is probably a few years younger than us, so didn't have the same experience with gaming we had. These type of videos are a bit of a lark, and the 90s are a rich goldmine for the latest wave of nostalgia.

But anyway, I'll stand behind Snowboard Kids :olol: It's an OK C-tier game with a pleasant art style. You're right though, I never did own it and rented it a few times before emulation.

I never touched a 007-type game on N64 except for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. My college friends have fond memories of multiplayer with Nightfire on Gamecube, but that's a different generation.

We were also cursed with owning Mission: Impossible on the N64, and it might've been the first game we played Christmas morning. No one's waxing nostalgically about that! :olol:
