I said we'd be jumping over to N64 Works, and I meant what I said... it's just that it's happening, uh, gradually. In this case, we're defining the shape of N64 by what wasn't there: Specifically, one of the biggest and most popular games of the late ’90s. One part historic overview of the business politics of the N64 era, one part look back at the compelling introductory design of Final Fantasy VII's opening chapter, you'd better believe this video was basically just an excuse for me to play a classic game from outside the bounds of the Video Works project in an effort to bolster my spirits during the age of social distancing.

The premiere episode of ACTION BUTTON REVIEWS. I reviewed the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

This video consists of an intro, seven "discs," and an epilogue.

Some of the audio isn't great. I'm sorry. I did the best I could. The pop filters I have been ordering since the beginning of March literally all got lost in the mail. I fixed the pops as best I could. Then a pop filter finally arrived the day after I finished editing. So did the chair I also ordered in March. That's hilarious! This darn virus broke my lungs AND (damaged) my back. Oh well!
Just a lazy 3 hour review of Remake.

I feel there is a metaphor baked into this review that explains the 3 hour length, but I gave up finding it after 5 minutes.

:olol: And I thought that watching a 45-minute video from the Completionist was too long.

Awesome, it is time once again for me to complain about how crappy the new FF looks, bitch about all the radical changes for months, then buy it at launch and play the shit out of it until I reach the point of calling it amazing and defending the choices they made*.

*this trend does not apply to FFXIII, which actually was shit.

Considering all they had to do was create a Gameboy emulator for the Switch to make this collection, it would have been a better collection had they recreated the games in color.

On the one hand I really love physical editions of games. On the other hand, do I really want to buy FFIX for the fourth time, and at 3x the price of the digital version?
