The Amiga was amazing back in the day. That and the Dreamcast are 2 of my favourite gaming platforms ever.

Re: The Amiga Thread
I don't usually upload full streams to the channel but I want this project to be fully preserved -- this is the start of an attempt to have a lil' look at EVERY Amiga game (the commercial ones, anyway)! This first episode goes through the numbered games and a couple of the A's. There's some good 'uns and...well, some lousy ones. This will probably be the way for every episode of this! If you want to see the A-Z happen live, it'll be every Thursday evening from 8-midnight on Twitch

THEA500® Mini
Now other classic consoles are just toys!
25 Amiga classics, including Worms, The Chaos Engine, Another World & Simon The Sorcerer all feature on the THEA500® Mini
Continuing the popular line of timeless classic consoles being given a new lease of life, today Retro Games announces the creation of THEA500® Mini, a fully licensed reimagining of the much-loved 16-bit home computer starring a plethora of classic Amiga games.
Due early 2022, THEA500® Mini is a homage to the 1980s heyday of 16-bit personal computing; inspired by the 1987 release of the Amiga 500, which featured a 16/32-bit CPU, 512Kb of RAM and an array of custom chips for producing best-in-class sound and video.
Play one of the included 25 classic Amiga games, selected from a simple to use carousel, including all-time greats Another World, Simon The Sorcerer, The Chaos Engine and Worms. Or side-load your own games via USB stick with full WHDLoad support and an array of options to choose from. Plus, save and resume your game at any time to help you finish those punishingly-difficult classics.
Developed by Retro Games Ltd. and distributed by Koch Media, the THEA500® Mini features the perfect emulation of, not only, the original A500 (OCS) and Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) of future revisions, but also the Advanced Graphics Architecture (AGA) of the A1200.
The THEA500® Mini comes with the original style 2-button mouse and newly engineered 8-button precision gamepad, allowing you to choose your control method. To compliment the on-screen keyboard, you can plug in an external standard PC keyboard for additional functionality.
“In this initial mini version of THEA500®, we have created what we believe gaming fans will love, and will see as the evolution of mini games consoles”, said Paul Andrews, Managing Director at Retro Games.
“Retro Games have developed a truly unique product”, said Debbie Bestwick MBE, CEO at Team 17, “and I’m very excited to have our classic games represented in all their original glory”.
THEA500® Mini will hit the shops in early 2022 with a suggested retail price of GBP£119.99/ EUR€129.99/ USD$139.99/ AUD$199.99

Re: The Amiga Thread
It's got more than 512Kb in it, they were just mentioning that the original 500 only had that amount.
It can run 1200 & CD32 games.

Games aside, I wonder if it runs the Amiga OS desktop itself, so it can be used as an all-purpose machine.

Re: The Amiga Thread
I'm debating preordering this, I do like this point:
Via USB, add your own games, update the firmware, and connect your own devices (USB memory stick required (NOT supplied))

Re: The Amiga Thread
I've preordered one from EB. It's on Amazon Australia now as well.
https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09BW8N7JZ
And adding your own games & apps is just like you can do on TheC64 Mini/Maxi. It's easy to do and a great feature.
With this you can add WHDLoad games, so no disk swapping.

Re: The Amiga Thread
The Amiga is back in the charts!
And here's some news about a possible A500 Maxi.
And here's some news about a possible A500 Maxi.
To answer 'that' question we are being asked over and over...
"Regarding the question being asked about a full-sized machine. This is something we've considering for sure, as per in the press release, THEA500 mini is the first in the planned THEA500 range, but as you're all aware, such a project is very expensive to develop let alone design and manufacture, not forgetting this is not being paid for in advance like a 'Kickstarter' project like some peer products, this is straight to retail. Thus we have followed the process we have with THEC64 range, and started with a more mass-market "mini" device that will reach a larger audience and perhaps introduce a whole new generation to the much loved home computer. If this is successful, and after the response we've had over the last few days we are sure it will be, then we will very definitely consider a full-sized release in one form or another. Though this will likely be some time away in the future, as in, after the release in 2022 of the mini of course. To answer the question further also its worth saying, in very rough figures, THEC64 mini has sold approximately 80% of the total volume of global sales so far for that range as opposed to 20% of volume of sales for the full sized version. So prior sales indicate the mini is the more popular option for most consumers, but we still do want to create full sized versions for that very sizable 20% of you as well! So basically yes is the answer, as soon as practical!"
