There's 80s Mania and Booking Revolution but they're not as detailed as EWR or TEW. I get what you mean though, kinda like MLB Manager (which is a scaled down OOTP Baseball) for Android/iOS. There was an old webpage full of freeware Wrestling sims (I forget its name unfortunately), if they are DOS executable you might be able to run it with DOSBox.

I remember trying 80s Mania but it was too gimmicky. Maybe it's for the best, I sunk waaaaay too much time into EWR back in the day

It was slightly better due to the more powerful hardware, but not by much.

The Freem edition of VPW2 has the faces of Okada, KENTA, Omega, Ibushi & Naito among others in it so when making a CAW you can use their actual faces.

Fellas, I've not played a wrestling game since WWE Smackdown v Raw 2006 (with Batista and Cena on the front). What would you recommend as the closest wrestling game to that? I'm particular looking for the following modes:
- A booker/GM mode
- Create a PPV
- Create an entrance
- Create a title
- Lots of legends already in the game and access to a decent bank of CAWs for creating other legends (not bothered about a current roster for this reason)

Do I just jump in on WWE 2K19? I'm on PS4 btw

2K19 has all those things. I think all the recent releases do. The GM mode is now called Universe mode.

As an alternative, the Fire Pro World digital deluxe is 29.99 for PS4, usually it's like 74.99. It includes the Fire Promoter mode too

I've always been a bit intimidated by how intricate FPW is, seems like I'd lose years of my life on it lol

I thought that too, but for me it's just a more enjoyable game overall. You can go overboard with it I agree, but say you just want to run a classic WWF fed, get those CAWs and stick with that and if you get the hang of it, build on from there. It used to be a tough game to learn because of the unique timing but FPW is the most accessible one by far I think.

These videos on how to play might give you an indication on whether it's for you or not

Yeah that gameplay aspect doesn't seem all that fun to me tbh so I'll probably just pick up 2K19 on the cheap.

Are there any particular CAW makers anyone would suggest for 80s old school wrestlers on PS4? I remember painstakingly having to make all mine way back in 2006 so it's a god send I can just download other peoples stuff now haha

Very strange they go with Bayley's ass as their preview shot.
