The Ultimate LOLTNA Compilation: 15 Years of Unintentional Comedy (2002-2017)

Post by Bandit »

I'll make this its own thread because I think it's going to be too big for the TNA thread. It's a compilation of all of the various LOLTNA lists from various places and ones I've added and expanded on.

1) In their first ever match Cheex breaks the ring and almost ruins the live show when the ring crew had to run in to fix the ring before the live PPV broadcast began.

2) The Dupps do an incest angle where they’re all having sex with their cousin.

3) Don Harris wrestles in a shirt with the Nazi SS logo. He says it isn’t racist and is “a biker thing.” Jerry Jarrett has to do damage control on wrestling podcasts saying the company didn’t know what the logo was and nobody involved is a racist.

4) After the racist scandal Ron Killings does an angle where he says everyone at TNA is a racist. He also attempts to rape an African American TNA cage dancer after she disagrees with his stances on race and wrestling.

5) Puppet the little person wrestler does an angle where he masturbates inside of a trash can while talking to TNA backstage interviewer Goldylocks. While masturbating he asks if Goldylocks wants some of his “porridge.”

6) During a fight Puppet pulls out a handgun in the ring. He is stopped from shooting anyone after Jeff Jarrett hits him with a chair.

7) TNA discovers they have been scammed by Jay Hassman, a pay per view marketer, who told them they were selling 75,000 PPVs a week when the number was really between 20,000 and 40,000.

8) J Sports & Entertainment LLC sells NWA-TNA to Panda Energy International on Halloween Day 2002. Jerry Jarrett sells his 71% share of the company for $250,000. CEO Bob Carter puts daughter Dixie in charge of day to day operations. She had a chance meeting with Jeff Jarrett, who talked to her about wrestling and she was reminded about having fun as a teenager going to World Class shows in Dallas and wanted to become involved with wrestling again.

9) After a failed attempt rejoining WWE, Vince Russo debuts in TNA on November 27th, 2002 in an angle with Jeff Jarrett where it is revealed he has been the masked man attacking him for weeks. He also helms their creative team.

10) A team of wrestling penises called The Johnsons (Rod and Richard) debut in TNA.

11) TNA has a team called The Hot Shots wrestle with their pants stuffed to look like they have erections. Member Cassidy Riley cuts a promo saying “We’re pricks, we’re proud and we are protruding!”

12) Brian Christopher debuts and feuds with Jerry Lawler (who isn’t even in the promotion) by cutting promos on his father every week and ignoring his real TNA feud with Scott Hall.

13) Babyface Jeff Jarrett cuts a promos calling Ricky Steamboat’s decision to give title shots to Apolo and Sabu before him “reverse racial discrimination.”

14) Bob Ryder goes into debt to pay for TNA wrestlers to be able to fly in to shows after TNA claims they don’t have the funds to pay for airplane tickets. Ryder is forced to sell his boat to pay off his credit card debt to airlines after Panda Energy never reimburses him.

15) TNA’s music composer Dale Oliver puts out a cease and desist order for TNA to stop using his music after they had stopped paying him for a month. Two shows aired with all music muted out until they resolved the dispute.

16) TNA has a boxing match between Dustin “Screech” Diamond and TNA timekeeper Tiny. Before the match, Sean Waltman had cut a promo talking about preferring TNA to modern WWE because he wanted wrestling and not stupid skits.

17) Russo has Roddy Piper cut a worked-shoot promo on him claiming he killed Owen Hart. Russo claims Piper went into business for himself but others claim to have been aware he asked Piper to use Owen Hart’s death for heel heat. Piper also calls Russo “The Osama bin Laden of wrestling.”

18) Alicia Webb does an angle that goes nowhere when she appears to be a prostitute demanding money for past services from men who look embarrassed she’s asking on camera.

19) A nasty e-mail from Ron Killings to Terry Taylor is leaked on the internet. In it, Killings says he’s angry TNA is demanding he repay them for money for surgery on an injury that happened in their ring, the amount of which is what he claims is half of what TNA is paying him per year. He also claims a major TNA employee is calling him the N-Word at meetings and he’s tired of the rest of TNA management covering for him.

20) Vince Russo is fired from TNA on October 1st, 2003, as the company was attempting to sign Hulk Hogan. Hogan claimed he wouldn’t even consider coming in if Vince Russo had a job there. Russo was spotted by wrestlers sobbing in his car in the parking lot after being fired. Hogan only does one angle for TNA in Japan and never comes back.

21) Russo returns to TNA has an on screen babyface character in February 2004. Russo makes his recent conversion to born-again Christianity part of his gimmick. His last angle had been slapping a woman for refusing to flash her breasts to the crowd. He leaves again in December 2004 after an angle with Dusty Rhodes where the fans had to vote one of them as the Director of Authority.

22) Konnan sues TNA for racial discrimination and unfit working conditions. He claims in his lawsuit Terry Taylor would give people painkillers with the agreement they not go to the hospital with their injuries in the TNA ring. Konnan is rumored to have settled the lawsuit for $1 million.

23) Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay debuts in TNA because Dixie Carter’s favorite show was Survivor. He ribs her by claiming she needs to sign Jerrelle Clarke to a contract because he’d heard WWE was pursuing him to make him their next big thing. Clarke is signed to a TNA deal despite WWE scouts and management reportedly not even knowing who he was. Fairplay claims he was paid $350,000 for a few appearances that amounted for 40 minutes total of airtime.

24) AJ Styles has a t-shirt made of his name that looks like it was written in cum stains.

25) Hector Garza, who is in the middle of being put in a main event push, is deported from America after being arrested allegedly smuggling steroids while traveling to an Impact taping.

He pleads with the crowd to follow with “the stories we are trying to tell” and give them the crowd reactions they want because “you are supposed to be cast members.” After the crowd doesn’t comply Bischoff begins using planted fans scattered about the crowd to cheer and boo what they want.

88) Eric Bischoff allegedly talks Rob Terry into taking hard unprotected chair shots to the head that he doesn’t want to initially do. Bryan Alvarez is outraged by this because it happened a few days after Chris Kanyon’s suicide, which some speculated was possibly due to CTE.

Here's a new one

That was on the Twitch version of the show. And like with the 20 minute fishing commercial mistake nobody noticed because nobody is watching Impact in America.

I just don't understand the thought process of

A:Doing this talk to the boys and flagrantly disrespecting them in the process in the first place.

B:Making the fucking thing public.

I'm guessing it was a Russo idea to put it on TV. She would give speeches to their roster because she liked to LARP being in charge of a wrestling promotion. My favorite one was one she talked about what a huge mistake AJ Styles made deciding to leave TNA in 2014. Oh, you mean the millionaire multiple time WWE world champion that you asked to take a contract for half of his prior one?

Bischoff and Hogan took the Young Bucks and Okada off of television for Orlando Jordan and The Nasty Boys in 2010. But good idea bringing Bischoff back, Vince.

Also remember their Okada treatment is the reason Impact lost their relationship with New Japan and ROH joined with them. So imagine how much different Impact could be right now if they were working with them for 9 years.

Wrestlecrap inducted the Eric Young vs Danny Bonaduce feud from 2009

I don't remember this. That's how awful TNA was. A 50 year old former child star came in to feud with one of their upper mid-card wrestlers and I don't remember it because they were doing so much awful television. WWE is bad, but if Jaleel White came in to feud with The Miz I would remember.
