I can't even believe it. I never liked the Lakers, but I followed his whole career. He was unquestionably the best player in the league in the early 2000s.
I had his rookie sneakers back in 97 and they were cool.

Me neither, its just unbelievable. He's definitely one of the best ever for sure. The game where Kobe scored 81 points was a showcase how great he was. Just a phenomenal talent on the court and in his prime he had no equal.

Stephen knew Kobe since he was in high school because he was a Philadelphia Inquirer sports reporter. So they were friends around 25 years.

Re: Celebrity Death Thread
It's good that they patched things up. Shaq had years of despising Kobe after he left the Lakers. He blamed Kobe for his divorce because Kobe made a statement to police during his sexual assault investigation about NBA players paying off mistresses to keep quiet and said Shaq had a history of it, which made news.

That was tough to watch. It's sad to see Shaq like that since he's usually so jovial and having fun with Chuck, Ernie & Kenny. I definitely agree it's good he and Kobe did patch things up as I think he'd be even more distraught if they hadn't.

Did you guys know that 007Cheater's sister was on the helicopter with Kobe? Not even joking. Christina Mauser was her name. She was an assistant on Kobe's daughter's basketball team.

Wow, that's weird news. And shitty news too.
Isn't 007Cheater's last name Bryant as well?

007Cheater and I are friends on facebook, he posted about it. Look at her picture, she looks just like 007, if you remember what he looks like.melancholy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 12:52 am That is too unbelievable to be true. How did you find that out?
They were in/near Huntington Beach, that's where 007 is from.
This article explains how she came to be on Kobe's daughter's team:

Yes, though that's just a coincidence as far as I can tellDr. Zoidberg wrote:Isn't 007Cheater's last name Bryant as well?
