Yeah, that’s very different from the original. I can’t decide if I want to play this or not.

Tried the demo earlier & my god its a lot better than I thought it was going to be, got to try using the more traditional control option some time to see what its like but the mode I tried had the same feel as Secret of Mana (which they call the easy mode, normal might be the same not sure) but I had a blast with it (always loved the SoM/Zelda type of rpg) I'm kind of tempted to get it now. although too many other things to go through first. Heres a vid about it

I’m not going to play the demo and I’ve stopped watching trailers for it. I want to go in mostly blind.

I don't want to ruin the plot of FF7 for anyone, so I will bite my tongue...
Good thing the story of Aeris works out REALLY WELL for those not in the know!
But did you know Darth Vader was Luke Skywalkers father?
Can't say I understand avoiding ANYTHING to do with a remake or rebuild?

GOOD THING SQUEENIX is already working on the rebuild of the remake, and the remaster of the rebuild, and the rebuild of the remaster before this was even announced!!
If I should Die Hard Arcade before I Alan Wake.

Dude, I’ve beaten FFVII at least 15 times across multiple platforms. And as I’m sure you have played through at least some of FFVII, you could probably tell that this ‘remake’ is more of a reimagining than anything, and therefore RADICALLY different. So yeah, I want to go in a bit blind because, for the most part, this is basically a new game with familiar characters.
