The dumb thing is in the US the cover by Orgy had better success. Regret is New Order's biggest hit here. And I like that song but it sounds like The Cure more than New Order. True Faith was also top 40. But all of those other classic New Order songs never made the top 50.

They had a few top 10 hits in Australia plus some other top 20 hits. Bizarre Love Triangle was probably their biggest hit here, a song which surprisingly bombed in the UK.

Aye that late 90s nu-metal aesthetic is great :olol:

These days, I'd say that I've heard Bizarre Love Triangle the most. It seems like that song has become more popular in New Order's library over the years.

That reminded me of the The The cover of the Hank Williams song of the same name.

How about a cover from a obscure Japanese band?

That's pretty good. Kind of sounds like Brand New Heavies and George Clanton did a collab.

When I worked at the student newspaper, we got his best of album mailed to us by the record label to review. It was a religious moment for me, Ricardo Queso is the best in the biz.

I remember our local rock station Rock 98 had a DJ that would put on his cover of Break Stuff back when it came out and The Bizkit were huge. The joyous interpretation of the chorus was so great it almost justified the awful original song.

Not sure if I posted this before:

That's the version of Plastic Love I listen to on Spotify (or the studio version of it) due to Mariya Takeuchi not being on there. I like it more than the Mariya version now.

Somewhere In My Heart and Working In A Goldmine are also good songs by Aztec Camera.
