Or you were Rip Van Winkle :olol:

Today they should judge it by Rob Van Winkle.

Big T got fooled by Babylon Bee.

So now I wonder if he really did this since he saw it and didn't realize it was satire

:olol: I read one Facebook comment that alluded that Trump was just trolling everyone by sharing that Babylon Bee story. That's some next level mental gymnastics there.

I hope that the BB offices got a case of champagne today, because that has to be the height of their art: Having the current U.S. President share your satire unwittingly as real news.

America is a beautiful idea that draws immigrants like myself from all over the world to the promised land of equality, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This idea is now under siege and certain events are starting to remind me of the things many of us came here to escape... It’s not a “left against right” problem but an evolutionary problem. The growing pains of a civilization that without the necessary spiritual enlightenment, arrived a bit early to a level of technology where everyone is connected. The good news is that now everyone has a voice. The bad news is that now everyone has a voice. So we are living in the manipulators’ paradise, where liars and hypocrites run unscathed, the news are just opinions, politics are a blood sport, and facts are determined by consensus instead of the truth. We as artists, however, have a unique opportunity to portray and ridicule the absurd to prevent it from becoming reality.
- Zoltan Bathory

This is a perfect time to remember the time that a drunk Mike Love ranted about the Beatles and Rolling Stones at his Hall of Fame ceremony.

Edit: And let's not forget Bob's classic line:

Mike is a perfect ambassador for the Trump campaign: He got famous while riding someone else's coat tails, and has a Napoleon complex because of it.

His whole speech was blown by the fact Brian has said 100 times he has never been on a surf board in his life and Dennis was the one who told him about surfing for the band. They even made a famous SNL skit 10 years before the speech about how he never surfed

It was hard to decide whether this should go in the Cringe, New Music, or U.S. Politics thread:

It takes a certain energy to still wear a D.C. Bullets jersey.
