RIP Dennis Waterman

That's sad. I liked Minder.

Suicide or overdose?

"Why is 3 o'clock in the morning always the hour of choice to put on a Nick Cave album, get depressed and kill yourself? What's wrong with the middle of the day, when everyone's awake and ready to call an ambulance?"

Australian cricketing legend Andrew Symons has died after rolling his truck on a rural road. No other cars were involved and he’s suspected of being drunk while driving.

Bernie Stolar, president of Sega of America during much of the Saturn era. He was quite controversial, as many believe his bias against 2D graphics and RPGs prevented the western release of several good Saturn games.

Now that's very sad.

No fanboyism with that man, for the love of games he helped launch and cement the positions in history of 2 of the 3 best consoles ever made.

Cement, as in cement shoes? He killed Sega as a console maker. It was his decision to launch the Dreamcast for $200 instead of $250 as SoJ wanted -- which created a loss per unit sold that was impossible to recoup.

What are you talking about, the Dreamcast was very successful in America. You can make losses on hardware and make the money back in software.
It's not his fault the games were so easy to pirate so no one bought them. Sega Japan drove themselves into the fucking ground.

He actually got units into homes, much like he did at Sony. It's just Sega of Japan made so many horrible decisions.
