Re: WWE Thread (Spoilers)
Vince retiring must be for major reason(s) as I can't see him walking away otherwise. Didn't the WSJ contact former WWE employees so maybe a major story/stories are incoming and WWE forcibly pushed him out the door.
Whether any positive changes will happen remains to be seen. They won't happen immediately (I don't know how far ahead they book now but say this happened in the 80s or early 90s they used to book quite far in advance).
There was talk of TV-14 so that might be a go, Hunters head of talent so ex WWE guys like Adam Cole could go back, Kevin Dunn is apparently done and definitely seems Johnny Ace is (since Triple H has his role), whether Pritchard is out the door or not and I think Hunter will promote HBK and bring Road Dugg back in, maybe try to get Regal back down the line too.
They might be preparing for a sale too which is why Vince walked since they wouldn't want any fallout from the WSJ/investigation(s) to adversely affect the stock price. Who'd be in for WWE though seems that NBC Universal, Disney maybe (but a lot of their historic programming don't really fit in with their family ethos), Warner/Discovery seem all in with AEW, don't see Apple or Netflix being interested. Paramount and Amazon could be possibilities.
Going forward will be interesting to see if there's any Vince input and if any former wrestlers/Divas appear who haven't previously due to heat with McMahon. They'll most likely induct him at next years HOF and produce their own in house doc (most likely revisionist history to make out how "great" he is) since Netflix nixed there's. HBO Sports are making one but that'll most likely be just covering the investigation/retirement.
I also think in TK's case he needs to keep his talent happy since with Vince going and if Hunter does transform the WWE to make it more appealing AEW could lose some big names to WWE. I don't know how high they are on MJF now but I think he's a guy who'd flourish in a TV-14 WWE landscape.

Re: WWE Thread (Spoilers)
Now we know why Bruce kept his podcast.
They should let Becky Lynch beat up Donkey Teeth on his way out for stupidly calling her ugly. Becky wouldn't fuck him in a billion years and he said she was ugly.
I sold my WWE stock a few weeks ago when the Vince shit started because I knew what was going to happen. It was $61.53 a share, but I made money because I bought it at $50.04.

I watched Raw.
I don't think I'll watch it next week.

I don't think they're going to let Mansoor back in Saudi Arabia after this one.

Why change Io's name? She's been in WWE for 5 years already.

At least they didn't accidentally name her after a Nazi this time like Günther.Dr. Zoidberg wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 10:48 pm Why change Io's name? She's been in WWE for 5 years already.
